Looking for assistance on getting R35 coils to work with the AEM. I have each coil pinned on the ECU and turned on. I can only get cylinder 3 and 4 to fire by the looks of the spark plugs. Has anyone successfully ran R35 coils this way? Cannot find much online or doing a search on the forum. What changed are needed to be made in the ECU. I’ve set the coil dwell that PRP uses.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I don't know the specifics of the AEM ecu but the R35 coils need more power on the signal wire to fire than most coils, I believe it's slightly over an amp and some ECU's just can't do that, the symptoms are kinda what you are experiencing, 1 or 2 will fire but never all of them as the ECU's output is maxed out.

Thanks for your response, the coil signal is 1.5 amp. There’s just no literature anywhere about running these coils sequential on AEM EMS. Probably will have to do wasted spark setup.
