Yeah but they mounted my cage to the trunk floor not to the strut towers like you see a lot. I'm not worried about it right now I need to build the motor to make 150mph power before I worry about that.

Trust me it is def at the top of the to do list now. I have been part of a group buy that would save me almost $200 on rods too on the link forums that I was waiting for and it only needs one more person so timing on that is like perfect. I just needs the rods my weisco 1400 pistons and l19's and I can finish my short block which will be a huge step because once that goes in everything will make it's way into the shell. Wiring will be this weekend or next.


Hey Carver or Jay hit me up let me know if either one of you guys can come over to the car give me a hand with the wiring harness. Mechanical I am pretty sure about wiring is not my forte that's why I get PnP stuff

Got the JHRacing Fmic kit I originally wanted to run and I'm glad that I did because now the only piece that I have to modify is the flange where the hotside pipe connects to the turbo. It's setup for a GT42R outlet the Hx52 even though similar in power potential and size has a smaller outlet. But I think this is a big step and it looks badass on the car Even though she was cold I got the gf to help out

The A/R is 16cm^2 with a 67mm inducer, 4" inlet, 3" outlet, and 4" vband.

Yeah but it flows better than it's garret counterparts. This turbo is flow rated to 96lbs/min so it has 900whp in it with the right tune. Not to mention since I have been educated on where I can buy E85 close to me for like 1.85 a gallon right now I will be running 10:1 compression and running solely that so I think this car should be pretty lively to say the least. The group buy for the aluminum rods is about to happen and so the shortblock will come together and then that's when things will take off. Stay tuned

Thanks and good luck with yoru build man. Yeah it's good to see all different types of people modding dsm's and I'm def not the typical guy you would think would be on here all the time and modding a car like this.

Hard to tell. The build makes leaps and bounds. Like I said from the gate the only date it HAS TO BE DONE is the shootout. I"m not cutting corners or compromising to finish early for any event. Realistically 3 months. I will have most of the little stuff rapped up soon and then it will just be a matter of saving up money for the trans the rest of the engine parts and this DS and tcase I really want. My second job just gave me a significant raise so it may go faster than I thought. In a nut shell how fast I can save up 7-8k will determine how fast she gets done. If I had a credit card I would be done in less than a month .

Yeah, you have about $10K plus worth of stuff left to pick up, and that's finding a lot of it on sale or on the forums. I remember how hard it was to get where I am. I wish you the best bro.

I refuse to build a car on credit, but with that sort of a time frame wowee options become limited..
