Hey everyone ive been away over the summer and its been killing me but ive gone through what i consider a huge transformation of my dsm. Im not even sure where to post this so im sorry if this is the wrong place but the story is, about 7 months ago i totaled my car in my driveway. I was in reverse and long story short my door got snagged on a tree and ripped the a pillar to hell and back. So i drove without a fender and a door that was falling off for about 4 months. I got a job at a local bodyshop and me and the boss hit it off right off the bat, so i had access to all the tools, parts, etc. So i sectioned the a pillar out, welded in a new one i cut out of a junkyard car with a generator and sawzall, and had a door and a fender at that point. Then i started on body work, shaved my body kit, door handles, antennae, and small indentions in the roof. After 200 plus hours and no social life for 3 months i finally painted my car yesterday and did a few little things here and there. Ill just post a few pics for now, but ill put pics of the whole process throughout the week. But here it is in its current condition.

I really am more of a speed kind of guy. Plans from this point on are build bottom end/ turbo, or possibly stroke/ turbo. Being in college and this being my dd though, the motor work is going to be hard. But im open to suggestions for future mods and i hope im more accepted in the dsm world now that my car is one color.

Not usually a body kit person, but it looks pretty clean.
Alot of kits don't, the paint job also keeps it from looking too ricer.

I like the color.

I really hate body kits, but damn this looks good. As stated before, that color looks really nice. How do you open the doors though with the shaved handles?

Put the 2gb bumper back on with real splitters instead of that bumper with GIGANTIC molded in splitters......or whatever they are called. Then you'll have yourself a pretty good looking car.

nice colour. the front bumper support showing doesn't look good though. and get it lowered she will look sick.

Thanks everyone. I personally dont like the body kit but im just a poor kid and i worked with what i had. As for how i get in, i have a viper alarm wired up that i run door solenoids from that pop the doors, and if the battery dies i climb in through the trunk LOL, but it shouldnt cause i just bought a new battery this week. I am putting the stock spoiler back on, i just diddnt have time to paint it. The bumper support is coming off when i turbo, and it cannot be dropped another cm. I have about 3 inches of drop total, cant make it up a single driveway in town. As for the front bumper, i dont know how long it is and im skeptical that it will be shorter than the side skirts. Sorry i diddnt quote anyone in this reply, i dont know how to do a multi quote reply. But my next one i plan to be a stock gsx, as far as body work goes, with my orig. paint on this one.

Although i hate body kits, color looks pretty sweet!

Headlights look kinda cool, are they aftermarket? Or just sprayed black?

sprayed black, and they look terrible. It was 3 in the morning and i had school at 6, i was in a hurry cause my car still wasnt complete and i diddnt mix hardner in with the spray, sprayed it on realized, scraped it off with a bondo spreader and 45 mins later resprayed. Theyre full of runs and whatnot and look terrible if you look at them from 2 feet away, but im putting hid's in soon and im just ganna buy aftermarket ones with projectors and redo them. But yes they are stock and just sprayed.

you have it lowered 3"? whao! doesn't look like in the pic i guess its just the angle cause the wheel gap looks kinda big. When or if you turbo it a huge FMIC would make the car look awesome.
but good job none the less.

Color is so sexy! what did you use to smoke your headlights?

I wouldn't put the high rise Eclipse spoiler back on. It wouldn't flow well with the lines of the body kit. Leave it wingless. You could probably get a factory bumper and a lip so it would be as low as the side skirts. Nice color and props to you for doing all the work.

I would recommend getting a battery tender just in case. Spending another 30$ would be well worth not having to climb in through the trunk IMO.

Looks very clean, good job.

IMO

Dont get projector headlights, they look like ricey sh*t

Ive seen an OEM pair ona locals car that was just sprayed black and it looked very good

I plan to get the projectors and black them out so they will look the same, just with a properly installed hid kit in them. And as far as spraying them i mixed black/clear. You can mix it about any way, but id mix it about 6/1, i just half assed mine cuse it was so late and its just a temp. job. But thanks for all the approvals guys, im very proud of it. Every day i had bodymen tell me my bodywork was ganna look terrible when it was through and that my car was a lost cause to sell it to the junkyard and get a new one with my saved money, but i couldnt give up on it. I still have enough money left to build the motor, so im open to suggestions on a turbo setup and internals, or any other suggestions for future mods. But for real thanks everyone, its nice to not be looked at as the ricer with a cai and a bodykit held on by wood screws anymore.

It looks good for the most part. I absolutely hate the blitz kit though.:beatentodeath: Get rid of the body kit and she would be pure sex. But all and all, Congrats on bringing her back.
