They did make caps for the spot for the fog light, for cars that did not come with them. I used to have a set years ago but I think they are long gone now. Or am I thinking about the otter hole. Shoot I just confused my self . Anyways they do make covers for where the fog light went .

Yea, I think you might be confused about the covers, because I've seen one for the outer hole myself. It's light grey and shaped almost like a crescent moon.

But you say they do for sure make covers that completely ....cover where the fog light went? That's aftermarket right? Not Mitsu?

Anyway, gonna look into it, thanks for the heads up.

Personally not interested in adding fog lights and stuff, I'd take my chances. It's foggy like once every 5 years for me.

I'm trying to get my car as light as possible. Sacrifice everything. No matter how much horsepower you have, loosing significant weight on a heavy car is like magic. IMO the perfect car is like 600+ HP, at least mostly rear wheel drive (75%?), and weighs 1700 - 2200 lbs. Goodnight, competition.

Yea they made the fog light bezels that I think came on the RS with lines through the holes instead, for cars with no fogs obviously. Most people have made custom plugs that cover the entire holes...

These are bezels (with lines through them) that came stock on cars with no fogs. (i.e RS)

And these are the crescent moon plugs you speak of, they are installed in the air duct section on the bumper, stock turbocharged 2G's dont have a crescent plug on the passenger side since it's a path for air to the SMIC.

Yeah, I'm doing a bunch of searches myself and came across that thread.

I might get the RS ones and clip out the vents (thanks for pic). Should be easy and look fine, I think. So basically, it will look just like the fog light bezels, but it will be light-weight and less expensive plastic instead of metal.


The custom plugs look fine. But that's a chore and requires a lot of patience, so I'm not going to bother.

But without anything there at all (like the pictures in the OP), the hole looks unfinished to me.

By the way here is the metal bezel I keep mentioning (EDIT, sorry didn't notice this was already posted):

Note I'm pretty sure the bezels are actually cheaper if you can get them from an OEM discounter online. Ebay seems a bit jacked up on parts prices.
