Damn that sucks to hear that after all the hard work and everything but 3000? There was a local kid here with a 98 n/t like yours with a molded wide bodykit lowered, rims - and a new motor that rearended someone and totaled it - he fought with the insurance company and got 1500 out of it and that was it - He ended up buying a 92 accord off me - that i how coincidently wanted 1500 for LOL- Good luck i hope you have better luck than him

I deal with totaled cars everyday, they give the value of the car in whatever condition, which mine would probably be considered excellent since everything done to it is brand new. Exellent is worth a little over 3 grand i beleive. Regaurdless, im fairly good at debating with the insurance people since i work at a bodyshop.

And everyone keep your eyes peeled for me please, im looking for a gsx for my next car, preferabally that orangish red color with some mods.

Depending on who's at fault you can get A LOT more out of it. Last year my friend wrecked his 98 sebring while we were driving around. It was the other person's fault. He had paid 5k for it about 4 months before getting hit, BB value was only 2800 for the car. After arguing with the other insurance company he ended up with $6000 for the car as well as another $3200 "inconveniences" as well. They also paid for a rental car for him for 5 months while he looked for his new car.

Needless to say I went to the chiropractor for 5 months 3 times a week for free. :thumb: Also got $2500 "inconveniences" just for being in the accident.

Looks great. You worked with what you had and made the absolute best of it!

I could complain about certain aspects like everyone else, but instead, heres a thumbs up for all the hard work!

Lol well I'm not really worried about it, I guarentee I'll get the money I want, I will be the last person so see my car before a wrecker takes it anyway cause it's goin to my shop.. So I'll get what I want. However, the other insurance company still has not contacted me and i am currently out of a job and i had to quit school because i dont have a car to get me to either of them.. Since the accident was not my fault will i also receive money for "inconveniences"? Im not trying to milk the company or anything, but its a real pain missing out on my college classes and not being able to have a job also...

Leave the spoiler off, it looks great like that.

I wouldn't put the high rise Eclipse spoiler back on. It wouldn't flow well with the lines of the body kit. Leave it wingless. You could probably get a factory bumper and a lip so it would be as low as the side skirts. Nice color and props to you for doing all the work.

+1. Leave it wingless. ;)

Well I bought my car back. I just couldn't let my baby go. I have around 8 grand to get another car but my dad said he won't put the car I buy in his name If I buy It out of state for liability reasons, so that means no gsx which really crushes me. But I got my baby back and he's letting me have it an another car so I can't complain. They gave me 4000 and my car and I'll be working on fixing it AGAIN very soon. I'll take pics through the full process. So here we go again.

You should install the high rise 97-99 spoiler too, it would be the finishing touch!

Oh, i just realized it was a N/T.

I give you props looks great far better than what i drove in highschool and college for the most part you put time money and effort into your car and reguardless to all the people not liking it you deserve credit where credit is due keep up the work and keep us posted.:)

nice job ! i love the paint, by the way i havent seen anyone asking for the color so im going ask you if you can post it here so that everyone can see it.

Well thanks everyone for all the compliments and all. The paint code is ford's G5 with double the blue pearl. It is common on the newer mustangs. Also i know not many people on here are painters but the brand is Deltron. When we mixed it up we just added twice as much blue pearl as it asked for and it really made a difference.
