You can never go wrong with White, or Silver. I've always liked the Metallic Pearl Grey as well.

Yea, you'd have to do jams if you went candy red AND I'm 100% certain that the body shop would charge more since candy paint isn't one stage. I don't have much knowledge when it comes to spraying cars, however, I do know that candy paints are transparent so you must paint the car with a base color which (I think) is lime green under candy red.Corey I was thinking that with the candy apple I still would need to do the jams and what not, so might as well go grey...what do you think?
oh and a yanked the wiper, antenna and squirt nozzle, really cleaned up the back end. I just need to find a solution for the antenna to keep the radio functional. maybe a shark fin where the rear squirter was.
EDIT ok that is what you said above. So there is a way to route the antenna wire to the hatch...cool

gah I am being such an indecisive little biatch about this. Driving myself nuts.
This thing is supposed to be dropped off at the paint shop tomorrow and I can't make up my mind!!!!!
so I have found other things to ponder besides color.
So since they are going to be filling in holes in the rear deck I am thinking of pulling the wiper, antenna and water nozzle and having all those holes filled in as well. Just completely cleaning up the back end. What do you guys think about that?
oh and this is a better picture of the red I am thinking about nowYou must be logged in to view this image or video.
but if I do a different red I still have to do jams and hatch so not really saving money, but the engine bay may not look as bad.

No I am just having them do jams and sills. They are going to take quite a bit of weather stripping and trim off but not touching the engine bay. I will do that later.I think the grey will look good, lets see those pics when you get it back. Did you decide to let the painter do the engine bay as well? If not black rattle can in the garage will work I guess, make sure you tape well and get the floor wet!
Good choice man, Cant wait to see how it turns out. I love the slate grey color, i think it will look awesome with a carbon hood/hatch.

It's hard to get a feel for the color of a car by looking at photos because of processing and camera quality, I say go to a Scooby dealer and go look at a gray one. That way you know what it should look like when you get it...
...at least I know he actually welded them.Looks like it is going to be a few more days. The color is so dark I told them to take extra time to get the body just right and while they are at it I am having the triangle in the front bumper glassed in.
can't wait to get it back and see if I made the right call on the color. Kind of nerve racking. I also have the window tint guy ready to go and I think I am going to lightly "nightshade" the rear lenses.
