Is 3k a fair deal for a single stage paint job(viper red), bodywork (fixing multiple dents), welding holes in the hatch of the vehicle? 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST? 3k was my quote from body shop owner that seems very honest and has 5 a star rating with 50+ reviews. Family owned

That sounds about right for the work being done.

Looks incredible man. Should get it ceramic coated professionally too. It'll protect it and make it pop.

Also: I swear paint/detail guys are some of the pickiest people on the planet. According to every single one, their preferred product is literally the only perfect product, and everything else will kidnap your dog and lick all your remote controls. It extends to paintwork too. It amuses me greatly. Not like the factory paint on these cars in 1990 was any better than a modern, properly done single stage. Especially the basic colors like red, white, black, etc.

Yes true haha. Body shop owner advised my not do go with a ceramic coating. It does look incredible but in time I do need a cut and polish because some areas have very noticeable orange peel.
