sorry to do this did a couple of searches, I couldn't find a direct answer or one that seemed to fit. One my alternator belt is squealing, I believe but I checked the tension last night. When I got home and it felt good. Only does it when it rains believe my alternator is going out. The second is more of a question I can't answer, when it rains I have a clicking sound. I changed my front cv axles about two months ago, so almost certain it isn't that, assumed it would be my rear and its on driver side BTW. checked it last week couldn't find any breaks in the outer boot. the clicking noise doesn't happen. when I am in neutral and gets louder as I accelerate. for instance 10 mphs slow clicking 50 mph louder quicker clicking. the front cv axles were used but no rips where in them.

thanks for the help

Josh

it is probably a U-joint in the drive shaft. It might be the one right before the rear diff so it might sound as if its coming from the drivers side when its underneath in the middle. search for checking U-joints out and try that. Its worth a shot.

not sure about the tie rods changed the cv axles and lower control arms in the front and front brakes and pads. tie rods were moog style but didn't have a rip in them I don't believe. I will look into the u joint hoping that isn't an expensive part find out soon. haven't messed with anything in the rear end. was reading yesterday the rear cv axles are a pita.

I read about the yoke and u joint doesn't seem expensive just a lot of time to do it. not sure I want to go down that road unless its def. the cause it doesn't do it unless its raining which really throws me off. like wise with my alternator and the lights dying down. today no rain car ran decently well all the way to work. last night computer wouldn't stay on and lights always dim down.
