First off this is what worries me: when im braking i hear a clicking noise from the front end drivers side. what could this be?Got all of the other issues dealt with; had to clean out the whole cooling system replace t-stat, water outlet housing, cap, replaced ignition switch and lock cylinder, replaced oil dipstick tube (some dumbass broke off the stick and tried to hack saw the tube off below it!!). got some ams coolant booster to toss in the coolant system as well as fresh coolant and oil change.

also as soon as i get home I am going to replace the timing belt and valve cover gasket, flush trans and replace filter, replace t_case oil, rear and front diff oil also. also need to lube anything i can on the car there is quite a bit of squeaking from the back end. also gunna go through the brakes and abs, and put on a set of tires, im thinking about a set of these:
Michelin X-Ice Xi2 Tsi AWD&autoModClar=&partnum=155TR6XI2XL&tab=Specs
yeah i live in nor cal so i wanna be able to drive in the snow and ice

going to get a new digital camera tomorrow, lots of pics to come. sorry guys.

horrible news!!! i think i need a turbo or rings. my car started smoking white / blueish smoke (oil) today after driving to lone pine, ca(im heading home to nor cal from so cal where i bought the car. it was blowing a lot of smoke so i dont think ring(s) i think the turbo bearings are shot and its letting oil part into the hot exhaust side, is this possible, and if you guys think thats what it is, where would be the cheapest place i could get a new 14b shipped overnight from?

well do you notice anything else when it clicks? plus im sure u can find a pefectly good used one online.

Check things out first before you go spending money on something you possibly don't need. Check some things out and narrow down the suspects. obviously if its oil it's either turbo, valves, or rings. Do some homework before you go spending money

if you look at my post on this i had the same problem I have a video posted of what it sounds like. I work at a shop and the master mechanic there told me that if the rotor is warped it will move the pad back and forth causing the clicking sound so thats most likely what the problem is.
