alright so my car started making a clicking sound everytime i turn to the left and then it got louder and it is also starting to do it when i turn to the right now? i believe its my ball joints... does this sound right?

Clicking most likely would be cv axels if its poppin then I would call the mitsu dealership and see if its been in for the recall(lower ball joints), if it has been in for the recall just jack up the front and change them out(while your there go ahead and do the tie rods ends if they need done)...

If it clicks when you are turnign the car then its the CV axels, just raise the car front end of the car(tires off the ground) and grab the tire(top and bottom) and push/pull it if it moves the you need to check your ball joints..

alright thanks everyone.

now the next question is does anybody know how hard they are to put in?

Axle shaft assemblies not to bad to remove or reinstall. Might have to fight a couple old bolts, but that goes unsaid. I usually take mine off myself, but take it to my local PaPa Auto Parts and they send them out to be over hauled the same day with a good warranty. I think it may be lifetime, and it cost about $60-70 for parts and labor.

Considering your car is a 1g, the axles are probably froze in the damn bearings. They are a bi*** to get out. Have a big ass hammer and a torch nearby.

well i have this noise too in the back and it sounds like a clunk clunk clunk when I turn or go over bumps. I checked the rear tires for play and they didnt have any also i turned the wheels and its not the brakes being clamped on and the sway bar doesnt seem to be loose. I just installed new stuts, shocks, and springs with new bushings and it didnt help. I jacked up the lower control arm just like the video said and i could hear it clunk in the rear passenger side. please someone give me some advice this is really pissing me off.
