My stock oil pressure gauge doesn't work. Where should I start to correct this?

I assume its the sending unit? If anyone have an extra or advice to get it corrected.

Thanks.

The sender is a bulky round sender on the Oil filter Housing.

its the one with the zip tie on it. If the wire is not connected it wont work. To see if gauge in cluster works follow what was stated by Luv2rallye.

this is all located at the front left corner of the car. right below the alternator

Dont mind the oil leak in this pic, I have since fixed this when i replaced my sender with and aftermarket sending unit.

Wait, just because the wire broke does not mean you need to go aftermarket. Just fix the wire and re attached it to the sender and boom all fixxed. The wire only slides onto the nipple on the sender. You could even use a female spade connector to fix it

If you follow the wire up a few inches it it will have a clip that attaches ot to the oil filter housing. Then follow ot a lil further and it will have a plug, disconnect it there and you can then fix the wire on a bench instead of on your back. Then just plug it all back in and boom fixed

^^^ +2 Just use a female slide terminal and it will hold onto the sender, that's what I had to do with mine.

That's how I did mine too Chris, the original connector would fall off from time to time so I forced a female slide on it and I don't think it will ever fall off again.

Or if you want you can actually buy the wire from the connector to the sender.
I however Do not have a part number for you. you would have to do a lil searching

I jus snipped the connector off. Too late now LOL I only had a couple min. Did a quick strip n twist as a test. No luck. My gauge is pegged on high. Awfully dirty under there tho.
