Holy crap, those put my silverstars to shame OMG Looks like after I got the mods I want, I'll be getting these lights and hids.

i desided to say screw that kit.. i got Xenons of a Mercedes. cost... FREE

But to get this back thread a little more on topic... Id LOVE to get those headlights....ONLY if they had matching corners. It looks like crap with the stock/clear stock side markers.

I have an HID GB going on right now.

I can get the bulb base you need for this housing. they are brightstar, and are E-Mark, ISO 9001. They are 1 of 4 companies that make both the ballast and ignitor.

We need two more people for the order go in. Info is here, including prices, and pictures:

http://members.aol.com/deft01/hid/

I have had these brightstar HID's in both my headlights and foglights on my 3000GT Spyder for about 2 years... I love them; it could be the best mod I have ever done.

Check it out... everyone has paid but we need 2 more people for it to go in. Email me with any questions!

Ive seen pics of this kit above and seen it in person. It is legit and looks great! Price is awsome too.

deft_spyder is also pretty good looking, if i might add ;) He also smells "nifty".

+OK so what's the deal for us 90-91 guys - do we have a replacement?

I saw another thread about 1GA headlights, a guy got the conversion so you have a bulb that goes in the back of the housing instead of the sealed beam thing, i got the kit for my other car, its a 280ZX... works fine. But anyways the guy did that, then got an HID kit and it looks pretty sweet.

On another note, my headlights came in today and they are sweet ass! I love em, but i'm goin to wait to put them in until i get my car running again.

Got a question though, heres the deal, i bought my talon from a chick for $700 (great car, just 183K and bad motor) and she never replaced the timing belt... it broke (tore some teeth off), skipped timing and probably bent some valves, my friends got a good head he could give me but i just wanted to get some thoughts. Do you think i should rebuild it myself or send it off to a machine shop so they can do it, i've been debating. I know i could do it and if i had any problems i have a couple buddies that know what they're doin and they could help. The whole reason i'm debating is theres no room in our garage with all of the crap we have in it now, so i'd have to clean it out. But that shouldn't be too much of a problem. Just wanted to get some thoughts. If theres anything else i could think of i'll post it.

Thanks guys,
-Lawrence

Damn, I'd love to see a headlight conversion for the 90-91 1G, but unfortunately no one has built one for sale yet. Or does anyone of you know where I can get something like that so I can finally screw those dumb popups. Otherwise I'll have to build my own ones and that's kinda problem here in Germany. Any links are welcome:

send them all an email and see who replies first.. usually the first one to reply is the one who is easiest to get ahold of for further questions.. thats what i did... but going on positive feedback % is usually the best way.. ild say if you dont feel liek waiting for a reply from one of them go with the guy with the 99% feedback.. :thumb:

I feel teh g4yness is strong with this one Lord Vader

yeah, they're nice, but not for my model. I've got the older one, but no noe can help me out, I guess :(

Thanks for the feedback 9D2streetgsx... I guess the headlights are all basically the same quality and configuration from these guys?

i just wish they made diff clear corners.. look like back to the drawin board i got to custom make something.

I think that they look really really good!!!! I didnt get them for xmas but my birthday is right around the corner!!! haha. They look clean!!!

i just orderd a pair of OEM Audi A4 projectors to retro fit in my headlights so the HID's will shine with less scatter. they should be here in about a week. and ill be puttin my angel eyes in soon. hopefully this works out good.

Like Luke 223 said, can those of you who have already purchased these lights give us the username on ebay that you used and if they were good or not?

"There are 4 different guys selling these headlights on eBay. Anyone have a recommendation on which ones to buy or from whom? I can't tell by the pictures if there are any differences between them... All the prices with shipping are about the same.

ALSO if anyone happens to find the corner lights in the euro look for 1g's to match the headlights post where you found them. im sure someone will start making them sense they started making the euro headlights. and they would look 10 times better than the frosty clear corners. thanks

i bought my lights off "trendgear" i think the guys ebay account was.. good contact and fast shipping.

but about the corner lights, i doubt theyll make aftermarket ones casue if you think about it, picture your corners all clear... then you'll see the ornage bulb just sittin there. and if they do it with the cover over the bulb like they did with the new head light's low beams that still wont look right... i could be wrong and i hope i am cause it does look a little off with the clear and then the fogged corners...

I ending up getting the headlights from http://tinyurl.com/4hk9v koaim1. Good communication, good packaging and fast shipping... They arrived in good shape and all the extra parts seem to be there. It will be a while before they go on -- I'm in the middle of an FMIC install.

I also bought mine from "trendgear."

Fast shipping - good product. Drop-in plug-and-play install.

I'm currently contemplating either retrofitting with an OEM Audi A4 system as per our 2g friends or doing the 9005-mod...much of it depends on if I can get into my OEM fog/driving-light units and if I can upgrade those to 885s......

Best of luck, and please keep us posted on your project!

thanks for the reply's guys. its a big help. did yours come with light bulbs or did you have to buy some?

Mine was without bulbs.

Have a look around, though, as some will include bulbs in their sales.

I just rather install my own SilverStar's in mine, that's all - and that's why I bought them without bulbs.
