alright, well the attempted 420a swap to 4g63t failed me, and yeah i know you told me so, but im still glad i tried. Anyway, i am going with the treadstone turbo tuner kit 420a Turbo kit 95-99 Eclipse Talon - TREADSTONE PERFORMANCE, while my tuner shop is installing this, they said that they would go ahead and port out my head for me so they said this would be the opportune time to upgrade my camshafts as well. I currently have a AEM V2 cold air intake, bosal brospeed 2.5 inch exhaust system, and hedmens headers but that is all changed with the kit so... anyway question is which duration camshafts would work best with this setup? Thank you for your time.

all we have available is the crower turbo grind since crane went under, but you may be able to find someone who still has them. I bought a set crower because it has a higher Rpm range

yeh but should i get 272 or what duration?

my question is do you still have the stock turbo and do u plan to upgrade? no sense in getting agood cam if u have the stocker and dont plan to up-grade.

what is your fuel system setup going to because I was thinking of getting the same turbo kit

Hey sorry I didn't click on the turbo setup link, with this I would probably go with something like HKS 272 which is what I have and run a fp3065 turbo. with the idle at 900 rpm there is almost no lope , and the power up top is amazing ;) hope this helps

first, don't listen to bslavs because he obviously doesn't even know he's in the 420a section.

Second, why are they porting your head while installing a turbo kit? There's no reason to remove the head. Almost sounds like they are getting the lube ready to ass rape you on service.

Third, do the install yourself, it's really not complicated and there are plenty of people here and on 2gnt who can help you along the way if you get stuck. Not to mention when there is an issue you won't have to run to a shop to have them take a look at it.

Fourth, many of the turbo 420a guys swear by the stock cams, no need to get into all that unless if you need your timing belt or hg changed at this point in time IMO

alright, so i can not go turbo quite yet, so all i have done is high flow cat, exhaust, cold air intake, and headers, so what duration of cams would be best for me now with intentions of turbo in the future
