Okay i need some help picking an exhaust system for my 95 talon esi with a 420a. I would like 4-2-1 headers and either a 4" or 4.5" muffler i also need some help trying to find a nice set of wheels that look good on talons and what size tires should i use that wont make my speedometer mess up. I either wanna run a 16" or 17"

As for exhaust i had a megan catback on my g/fs old 95 esi and it sounded great. It was only the catback though but with headers as well im sure it would sound even better. The look was also great and fitment perfect. As for ims i am a fan more of 17 s than 16s but that parts just preferance really. And once you pick your rims just get the tires you want in a size that is going to be the same or as close as possible to the same height as the stock tires and the speedo and odometer will be in line.

rim size isn't enough to determine if the speedo will mess up, you also need to tire size. For example you could get away with running 18s with little speedo mess up if you ran really really low profile tires. Also for your exhaust piping size, i pray you are talking outlet size and not the whole thing because if you are talking all the way 4inch piping that is way to big. If you are talking outlet, then it doesnt matter

2.5" piping is good enough for N/T.
tire size for correct speedo = 205/60R16 or 215/50R17 or 225/45R17 or 215/40R18. R** designates rim size so R16 = 16" rims R17= 17" rims and so forth.
i believe the proper offset for the rims are between +35 - +42 but you can go lower with spacers.

4-2-1 headers are going to be hard to find i'm pretty sure most of the headers at 4-1.

well im most likely gonna run a 17 so im gonna need help with tire sizes for 17s and also a good set of header and a cat back exhaust and i was talking about a 4"-4.5" muffler outlet

gs/rs and gst/gsx avenger/sebring all had the same tire/rim size. it's just that the gsx has bigger rotors so you have to run 16" rims or bigger. gs/rs avenger/sebring all can run 14" rims which that size would be 195/70R14 tire.

avenger/sebring had a 17" rim option which was the stated 215/50R17, but if you want to run a slightly wider tire (225) you have to make the sidewall ratio equal out so instead of a 50 you need a 45 (225/45)

these are just the factory tire/rim sizes that were options (though i don't think 15" tire was ever a factory option. but following reason that size would be 200/65R15 but idk if they even make tires that size LOL)

how it works:
first set of numbers is the width of the tire (in mm i think)
second set of numbers is the sidewall height, which is a percent of the first number
last set of numbers is the Rim size

so 215/50/R17 =
215mm wide, sidewall of 50% of 215mm (107.5mm) on 17" rims.

will a 17x7 stick out of the wheel wells at all because i had 18x8.5 on my avenger and they stuck out about an inch almost

and would a 35mm or 40mm offset be fine

8.5 is quite a bit bigger then 7... and it really depends on your offset.

35 and 40 both would most likely work. 40 would probably be a little better then 35.

so my best option is to get a 17x7 with a +38 offset and then run a 225/45/17

now its on to just finding the perfect set that will look good on my car and thanx everyone
