Im in the middle of turboing my motor, and im thinking since I have the chance im thinking of rebuilding either the block on the head and I would like some suggestions on which one to rebuild.... I'm leaning towards the block...and just have a stock head on it for a while...

depends on what your hp goals are. then you can go from there. what motor? 6bolt or 7bolt. incase you didnt know already a stock 7bolt with healthy internals(rings, bearings good comp.) can hold 450 safely and a 6bolt same condition can hold upwards of 500+hp. some have made 600+ but with awesome tuning and supporting mods

There's a saying that goes "Power is held in the block and made in the head." The head is where you can improve airflow for gobs of horsepower. The block itself makes no horsepower, but is what transfers the power from the combustion chamber to the flywheel, so it needs to be able to withstand the power you want to make.

Knowing this, build the block so you have a good foundation, so when you build your head later on to make decent power, your block doesn't fail.

Does anyone see that I have posted it in a 420a spot???? I have a 420a

the 420A in stock form is limited to about 10psi on a good tune. if you want more, build it, or swap in a 2.4L with SRT internals :thumb:

btw, if you dont want people asking if you have a 6 or 7 bolt, update your profile. you have a 96 GST spyder listed.

IF your going turbo and have the engine apart you should definitely rebuild with rods and pistons so it can handle the boost your going to throw at it.
Dont worry about the head just yet since it flows very well Stock. just get a larger throttle body 55-60mm and port match the intake manifold.
but there are minor modifications you can make to the stock head such as pt cruiser lifters and rockers and/or 4g63 springs.
