1G Need help with installing good used clutch

Basically I got a clutch, an Exedy clutch, from my boy with a pressure plate but I was not giving the alignment tool. So how exactly would some of you guys go about installing the clutch without this tool?

Use your fingers to line up the edge of the disk with the edge of the pressure plate with the bolt finger tight so it stays in place. Since you have aftermarket parts one may be larger than the other so make sure the overlap spacing feels the same. On OEM the outer edge of the friction disk and pressure plate surface are exactly the same size so it's very easy to do this way but not sure if aftermarket all are or not.

Please just go to any auto parts store and get an alignment tool.
It is a 7/8x20-spline, has multiple names printed on the tools, including ACT/ Comp Clutch / South Bend Clutch/ Centerforce Clutch use the name AT20 and Ford 20, otherwise they go by AT5310, TAT5310, Dorman 14533. They are cheap.

I ended up fabbing my own alignment tool. Worked good too. But the Exedy clutch Im using has a larger diameter center than the one I took out so my old pressure plate won't fit and the pressure plate that I got with the Exedy clutch is too shallow and doesn't reach the flywheel... Smfh Now I'm flat broke and at a stand still with getting the talon back on the road.... AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!! This sh*t makes me

NT and turbo clutches are not the same. Are you trying to mix and match? Nt clutch disc is 215mm diameter.

What exactly is the reason I can't use a turbo setup?

Flywheel, trans, clutch. All different. That's why. Run a turbo trans and you can run a turbo flywheel and clutch but the gear ratios are probably not favorable to NT. No reason to do so just for the clutch.

The reason the turbo model clutch wasn’t going to work was recently explained to you in this exact same way in your want to buy ad for a used clutch, reasons didn’t change.

The flywheel has to match the clutch and pressure plate assembly basically, they work together as a clutch pack and cant simply be mixed and matched unless you know what your doing and have done some mix and matching in the past that you know works.
