Need help with ideas about making car sexier

Ok, so I'm trying to make my car more of a chick magnet. It's a dsm, so it's not really that hard. I'm hoping to get a few new ideas or reform some of mine to help me obtain my goal. My total project budget isn't modest.

So my to do list is:

Black paint with double clear coat
Magnaflow twin tip stock-looking muffler + resonator
Some sort of racing seats (need help here)
GReddy Type R or Type S BOV
GReddy color matched gauges or switch gauge color w/ import intelligence needles and bulbs
B20G turbo from Slowboy
720cc injectors
35% tent
900 W 4-channel amp powering some speakers
300 W 2-channel bridged on sealed 10''
17'' BBS RG-Rs
225/45ZR17 Bridgestone Potenzas

My experience with the 2gb audio is that it takes more power to get loud bass. I have a Phoenix Gold ZX500 2-channel amp, bridged, running two 10" XMax subs in a musical enclosure, and it's not nearly as loud as the same setup in a car with a real trunk. YMMV.

Agreed! I had to point my subs towards the hatch glass to get better and louder bass.

I just put one of those magnaflows on mine and i'm impressed, especially the tone.

Magnaflow sells twin-tip 3" inlet, 2.5" outlet unpolished SS mufflers for $54+S&H. Paint it flat-black with BBQ paint and put some chrome tips on it. That's a buttload cheaper than $300. Don't know if BBQ paint sticks to SS, though .

Do you have a part number so I can look that up? Damn, that'll save me a good bit.

You want the girls to like you and what you do on your car not the car.

if you want to pick up girls with a car get a BMW or something that shows money.

But real girls will respect you and like that you can work on your own shit to make it run better. Don't get me wrong a sexy car can break the ice but i don't think a 2g is ugly by any means.


My wife loves my DSM even more then my EVO or my CRX and it is a 1g. She likes the HKS SSQ the best.

If you want to have your car in a condition where it will only help you improve the impression you leave on women, then consider doing the following:

Women lvoe agression, but only if it's accompanied by cleanliness and sleekness (on a car)!

So, a DSM already has the agressivness down even if it's stock. Your most cost-effective way of improving things overall, is to think like a woman... what is most important in making a car great from most women's point of view? ...go for the cleanliness aspect. (Don't get me wrong... performance can add a little more of the agressiveness factor, but since your female passengers won't get to drive the car all of the time (and benefit from performance) since it's yours, cleanliness will probably have more of an impact.)


Try these tips:

-Shampoo your carpet and floor mats, or buy new floor mats. This is one of the first places they look when getting in the car.
-Keep the windows clean on the inside! (They may not notice it was cleaned, but they will notice if the windows are grubby, and avoiding a negative is as good as making a positive.)
-Clean every part of the car (that's not glass or leather) with armor all or similar cleaning wipes (some parts may need some scrubbing to ge the dirt and oil off). Again, this is mostly to avoid a negative of dirtyness.
-EXPERT TIP: Armor all the interior of the car! This is a definite stand-out positive. They won't be able to miss the fact you keep the car clean when most of it is shiny inside. (There's also just something to a woman about an exceptionally clean and shiny car interior.) It shows you take good care of things you care about (your car), so you'll probably take good care of them too!
-Keep the outside mostly clean! Wash the car after long road trips or whenever it gets noticeably dirty.
-EXPERT TIP: Invest in a very good wax job over whatever paint it has. If the paint isn't new, I recommend starting with Meguiar's deep crystal paint cleaner. After using teh paint cleaner (of if the paint is new) give the car a coating of their high gloss gold class polish/wax, topped off with a coating of Turtle Wax's Platinum class paste wax to lock the shine in for up to a year (it's lasted that long for me).
-Shine up the outside of the tires with a shiny tire product (ArmorAll brand works well) before picking the ladies up.

I've got a DD going 100m/day and if I was trying to keep it that clean I think the state would end up going into a drought. Every couple of days I wipe off the license plate so the fuzz can read the numbers before pulling me over.

Maybe that's why I don't have chicks... oh, BTW is that one under the rear tire in the pic!?

machv is the only place I know that sells the rmdsm, unless you want a carbon fiber one. Also, black paint isnt the easiest to match, and it would be cheaper if you wait to do it all at once.

for doing the interior clean, I pulled out my seats, carpet, door panels, etc and then I rug doctored EVERY piece of fabric in my car and then used the mr. clean magic erasers on EVERY interior piece that was not fabric. It took about 6 hours but my car was as clean as a brand new car, and the mr. clean magic erasers refreshed the brightness of all the plasics in the car. Definatly worth it

Ok i have never heard of anyone going with this exhaust but my freind had a flowmaster exhaust and full staright 2.5 i think from the turbo and when he hits boost. It makes a crazy awesome never-before-heard sound. TO tell you the truth i went on youtube to find a tuner with it and he is the only car to have that noise that i know of. I wish i had a clip. If you guys know of any cars with flowmaster that had a unique sound please p/m me. I think it is a 40 series since that is for tuners but i have no clue and does not either. his reciept just said flowmaster

If the noise happens when he hits boost it's probably one of his relief valves (BOV or wastegate).

viper, might you be talking about a dump tube off the O2 housing? When you hit boost, it sounds mean. Go search YouTube for clips.

Im going to have to say nothing looks better then a clean stock look with a couple of useful gauges, tint, and a FMIC. After that it gets tacky.

I really like this guy's opinion. These cars are sexy as hell stock. Just toss some wheels on it with a decent stock style wing. 2GB Turbo or 2G talon turbo. either one will look good. Then tint the windows wit the darkest legal and call it a sex machine. because that's exactly what it will be.
