Pretty self explanatory though. You mix your resin and place the fiberglass material all over the centerpiece. Then apply the resin over it and let it harden. As you can see the centerpiece is now closed up so then he used the AFC and turbo timer to get the dimensions for the "cutout". After that, bondo is your friend.

Sort of. The fiberglass is what gives the part strength. You can't just slather bondo into all those holes because if you do, there will be nothing to support it and it will crack. In any fiberglass project, you want to get as much done as possible with the fiberglass and only use the bondo to smooth out the product.

Kitty hair SUCKS. I try to avoid it as much as possible. The problem with any combination fiberglass/bondo product is that when you sand it, you end up with little stubs sticking out of the bondo. The only place I'd ever use a reinforced filler if for body work and then only very sparingly. Also, although reinforced fillers are better than just pure bondo, it's still not a good idea to use them as a replacement for fiberglass and resin.

After the fiberglass hardens do you leave the SAFC on it while you apply Bondo around it? That's the only part I'm not getting now, but everything else you guys covered! Thanks ^

Yes. As you can see in this pic he puts masking tape around both the AFC and TT then applies the Bondo around it because the bondo won't stick to the tape.
