Hello guys! I need help identifying these pistons. My brother bought the car and was told that there was forged internals put in during the rebuild process. I searched through a lot of photos for pistons, but can't find any that look like the ones on his car. They look like Topline pistons but have 050 on the top. The photo quality isn't that great sorry for that. Can anyone recognize them? We have the head at the machine shop and it will be cleaned and valve seals redone. Any input would be great thanks. I just want to know if the guy who sold us the car lied or if they really are forged. The car is already pretty hooked up so it was still a pretty good deal. Here are the direct links I couldn't embed the pics through flickr.

My Nippon's say 63DT in the middle of the piston and 050 above that, and stockers say something similar. They might have 4G63T, but its been a while since I've seen the stockers. Most forged pistons have a number on the top, at least my Wiseco's did.

^^^ Those look different than my stock pistons.

OK thanks for your pics and input. It was a bit tough not to believe because we are fairly new to DSM community and he already had full 3" piping, turbo manifold, and the 16g turbo (not sure if it's big or not). At least now we won't turn up the boost over 16 psi just to be safe. Thanks again.

If you get the number off the compressor housing I can tell you exactly what turbo it is. As for turning the boost up dont turn it up unless you have some way to monitor whats going on in your engine, and have the proper supporting mods to run higher boost. A stock 6 bolt can handle 500+WHP all day with a good tune.

I believe I have seen TD05H. I can't double check right now since I'm at home and the car is at my pop's place. He has a garage LOL.

There will be a serial number on the compressor housing.
