how long did it take to get the transfer gears ?

It didn’t take long at all to get them. After I ordered them it took 2 days to get here. Granted they’re in Michigan and I’m in Ohio.

My koyo bearing came in today. To get the one set of bearings pressed off the old gear and get all of them pressed on the new gears

Got my other bearings off my old drive gear. Now to get them swapped on to the new ones

Soo I found a little trick on putting bearings in without using a press. I was a bit skeptical but tried it anyways and it actually worked well.

Going to try this with the other bearings then got to plan a day to swap these things out

Update time:

got a chance this morning to sway my transfer gears. It went surprisingly well for someone that doesn’t know trans work at all . Took about three hours give or take.
Had to go getfluid after I took an atf bath pulling the bottom cover off . Went for a test drive and all I can say is I’m in love with the whine straight cut gears make

More test driving on the straight cut gears. Also decided to pull the back cover just to make sure they were wearing ok. Next up is getting my trailer done and get it up to kevin jewer to get turned up.

Yea I noticed it this weekend. I can’t say much the tires are almost 11 years old. They’ve been great just time to change them out now

They were nitto nt555r drag radials. They were always well taken care of. That’s the only reason I think they lasted. I was planning on changing tires out over winter but after seeing that in the sidewall that plan got moved forward to now

Gonna give this bias ply tire a shot. My car has been on a drag radial for a while

Tires are swapped just got to throw them on the car now

Finally got around to throwing these tires on the car. Need to go for a drive and try them out now

something about enkei wheels, Hoosier tires, and wilwood brakes

we have a track rental coming up so I can finally get some more seat time in the car.

they ride well too. Only time they felt off was in the corners coming home. Having an issue with my wastegate. It decided it doesn’t want to open anymore

Couple pics my wife took of the car today at our local cars and coffee. Finally figured out the wastegate issue on the car. This vibrant push loc hose isn’t holding up well to hear so may go back to the ugly Firestone line .

Going to the track tomorrow! About to go get the trailer and get everything packed up. Doing a track rental at Marion county raceway.

Post track rental update:

got my new pb on wastegate pressure!!

made 5 passes: all 10 second passes: 4 were all in the 10.5x. Super happy with how this car is coming. Going to have Kevin jewer turn the car up in the spring and see how she does. Maybe ill
