I'm looking to install my slim line fans (two of These ) while my exhaust mani and o2 are out for porting in prep for my 50 trim... The thing is I'm not sure how to go about mounting them. They did come with mounts that extend from the outer edge of the fans with holes for screws, but if I get one to line up with the stock mounting holes the others will not. Any tips or suggestions as to how I should go about mounting these? Thanks.

I have the same fan and ended up using strips of aluminum to make brackets. If you do it that way, then you have to measure and then drill 2 holes in each strip so you can bolt one end to the rad, and the other end to the hole in the plastic mount.

The ones you linked to come with plastic mounting ties. You poke them through the radiator and cap them off on the other side. Or you can do the strips of metal bracket thing like Pat described-- that's also the way RRE says to do it.

Alright well I didn't get any plastic thingies that will push through the radiator itself and although the plasitc mounts I do have look like they would work, they just wont line up. Where does one find suitable strips of aluminum for making brackets?

The zip ties just might work... :thumb:

Anyhow, I see that the stock plugs have 4 wires on them and the fans I have only have two. I'm unsure as to what these other wires are for and how to go about wiring up my new fans to work, any ideas?

I've searched the forums here and at 'talk high and low for insight on that. The four wires are because there's two for low and two for high. You can just hook up the two for high if you can figure out which two they are. I don't remember the colors.
