I got a 96 gsx. Which of these mounts can I use.

These are all the mounts I could find in my boxes. What mount am I missing now?

Also:

Did I just screw myself here?
On the second picture. After doing some research, it looks like im using the 1g motor mount setup. Will this setup Not fit my 2G frame now?
Am I really going to have to pull apart this timing again and swap out my T-belt Tensioner bracket for a 2g one that I DONT HAVE?

PLease someone tell me I can still use this 1g setup on my block and it will fit like a glove in my 2g!

I'm not sure what mounts you have, exactly. You are missing the driver side for sure (pictured below, which is a 2G engine mount on my 6-bolt swap). You have the 1G bracket where the power steering bracket bolts to. That isn't used on a 2G but it's okay to leave it there (see second picture, same 6-bolt swap). You have the correct timing setup for the engine block (as I judged from one of your other threads), that's what really matters. I am not positive, but I imagine the A/C tensioner bracket will fit okay.

Here's a link to what the front and rear should look like: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/custom-fabrication/406631-how-install-my-2g-full-polyurethane-front-rear-roll-stops-motor-mounts.html or http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/drivetrain-tech/400208-my-newest-creation-2g-poly-f-r-motor-mounts.html. Transmission mount should be fairly self-explanatory when you go to mount it on the transmission itself.

Thanks so much for that picture.

Am I seeing this correctly? 2 bolts line up for the mount, but you dont have to use the middle (3rd) bolt. So I am in the clear?

I'm realizing I'm using 2g block with 1g timing components and a 1g head/intake manifold. Talk about a frankenstiens..

Thanks for those links.

On my 6 bolt swap I have the middle bolt in? Why would you not use an extra bolt? Not trying to criticize, I'm just wondering.

I was mistaken. No particular reason why I don't have a bolt there, maybe I didn't have one on hand. In any case, it's been like that for a few years now so you can run it without. I will be finding a bolt for it soon though. Thanks for making me take another look, 94talontd. :thumb:

No Problem 19eclipse90, reason I asked is bc you had me thinking maybe I had the wrong motor mount arrangement or something( I jus recently bought the car with the swap so I'm not real familar with what parts were used yet).

Need some quick help with this. I am searching thru the classified section.

I know I need transmission mount from another manual, but does it matter weather its a GST or GSX? are they the same?

Will 2G GST mounts work with my GSX for the front, rear and driver side also?
