Just wonder if something can brake or go bad if I put in gl4 and gl5 gearbox oil 80/90 mix them 2 ?

Possible corrosion to yellow metals from additives in Gl5 lubricants. I've always just erred on the side of caution and stuck with gl4. Hi, there are a lot of discussion on this topic and I'm a bit lost. Sometimes it is said that if a GL5 is also rated as API-MT1, then it will be safe on yellow metals. My question: is the MT1 spec required for a GL5 oil to be safe for yellow metal? I ask this because actually I use a GL5...bobistheoilguy.com
