Mighty Max SOHC g63b to DOHC 4g63 head swap

I own an 87 mighty max with the g63b and I've been wanting to put the dohc 4g63 head on for an N/A build. I plan on making/finding an intake for two Weber 40/45 DCOE sidedrafts so I can keep it carbureted, my biggest issue is the ignition system. Is there a way I can do the ignition without an ECU? and is the swap even possible?

essentially, im putting the DSM head onto my mighty max's g63b and i need a way to do timing with minimal wiring. im still open to doing the waste-spark though.

Possible if you can figure out a carburetor for it.

If you going to run a distributor on a DOHC 4G63 you'll have to mate it to the intake cam where the CAS would go on a 1G or 97+ 2G engine.

I don't know if the distributor from the 4G37 would fit or if you'll have to make something.

is there a way to use the OEM 1g ignition with a standalone ICM or an ECU just for the ignition, since my truck doesn't have one.

I did a little search and the 4G37 is a no go. I couldn't find anything that looks like a direct swap for a 4G63 DOHC head without modifications. The closest I came was a MD314946 T2T56071 but it looks too deep and is missing the oil seal o-rings. Beyond the physical issues its not clear what you would need to do to charge the coil.

There are a bunch of start people here but what you're looking to do is way outside our norm. Running injectors with ITBs and a NT ECU would be more likely to work.
