Lifter question

I lost a lifter on the way to machine shop or somwhere in between so I ordered what was supposed to be another oem from rock auto and it's a revised lifter mixing sounds like a bad idea. Is it safe? does anyone know where to buy just one lifter extreme psi has them but they are like 35$ for one oem. the one on extreme psi looks to be a revised now that i look at it as well is there any oem ones available?

The only old 1G lifters you are going to find (what came in your car) are used ones. The part was revised, which is what you are finding when you search for one so you won't be able to buy a new one that is like the other 15 you have. I probably wouldn't mix them because I am anal, but I would think it would be OK.

You could post a WTB for one lifter, buy a set of revised lifters, maybe go get one from a local junkyard or just use the one you already bought. You're choice. You could check out my classified too. That would be neat.

I never heard of buying one better off getting all new ones and save the hassle, no vendor i know of sells just one lifter. usually they are replaced all at once, you might get a good used one or you might not , try ebay, or car part outs, salvage yards have you tried there yet since your a new member and cant place in classifieds yet?

I say just buy a set of revised lifters. Be done with it. But if your really trying to save money then go to a junk yard and pull the lifters out.
