2.5k-3k slip the clutch, roll into it. i would not drop the clutch at 4k w/ stock clutch/trans.
you'll hear the phrase "slip it and rip it" repeated 10,000,000 times on this site
He's stock. AWD or FWD would be good to know OPFirst things first you need to fill out a profile of your car, FWD,AWD mods ect.... Secondly it will not be the same for everyone camshafts, turbo selection, intake manifold there are many things to take into consideration. The key is to make sure the drivetrain is pre-loaded on the launch. Is our drivetrain the greatest thing ever no, but a built transmission is essentially a stock transmission with some cryo treated parts, micro polished and different bearing pre-loads unless you go to a dogbox which the average DSMer cannot afford or is only trailering the car to the track. You really need to do some research on the subject. I was running a 82,000 mile un-touched manual transmission and snapped a rear axle after about 50 drag passes. I was running street tires and getting no wheel hop. Started at 5,000 RPM and my sweet spot for my set-up was around 7,000 RPM. But until we know what you are running on your car even engine management is a huge factor because then you have the option for 2-step launch control.
. Definitely helps to slip the clutch just right. Seat time and feeling out your setup is really what will pay off!
Have to have to have the right clutch setup. And depending on power level plan to break a few axles trying
. Terhune race axles ftw!
