Ok so as the title says, my RPMs won't go down once my motor warms up. I will be driving and go up to about 2400 and let off gas and the RPMs will stay up! Even when I come to a complete stop the RPMs will still be up there. This only happens when my motor is warmed up pretty good.

Mine was doing that with a bad o2 sensor, the engine was trying to compensate the wrong way because it was reporting to the ECU wrong. Are your mods up to date? Because if you've done anything else to the car it might be something different.

Well I've replaced the o2 sensor because it was throwing a code (check engine) but it wasn't doing this.

i had this happen on my pickup, was a vacuum line if i remember correctly, mayb check all your vac lines

i could actually not press throttle at all and it would idle at about 30mph !! LOL

Check your idle air control valve. I had a similar problem and that was the culprit.

I'll check that once I get outta school. Thanks

I did have a vac leak and I fixed it somewhat

I have this happen occasionally. Like today was a very cold morning in Colorado, and i was in traffic from about an hour, so my car was steaming (i don't know why) and RPMs were unusually high, my Idle is set to 800, but it was Idling at 1300, even when fans kick in it is usually no more than 1000-1100, but this time it went up high. I do have some air leaks, but it doesn't idle weird all the time. I figured that our cars hate cold weather, my car just doesn't like to run good when its cold outside.

Read this... . Terry's Talon Troubleshooting Tips #3 - Fast Idle (aka. Idle Surge)

And it wouldn't hurt to do a search next time these kinds of things are some of the most common and asked type of threads and have been answered a million times.

Bottom line is... .

Something isn't adjusted properly, TPS(<---Most likely the issue here if not a boost leak) Biss, Throttle linkage, or
There is a problem with the ISC circuit (ISC, ECU, or wiring), or
There is a leak that is allowing air to bypass the ISC(Boost/Vacuum leak et cetera).

Ok next time I have a problem I'll search thoroughly first.
But thanks for your suggestion, I'll check that out.
