So I just changed my timing belt maybe 3-7k miles ago. I will be changing my head hear soon, do I need to get a new belt and tenser again?:hmm:

I think I will be fine I just want some other input befor I decide to save a little money and then find out I shuld have done it. :thumb:

No the belt should be fine if you replaced it when you changed it earlier, inspect It for wear and cracks but a belt is cheap if unsure grab one.

Unless there is something wrong with any of the old components, then it is completely fine to reuse everything. Check the idler and tensioner pulleys for any play in the bearings. Check the timing belt for any oil contamination, or damage. Also, it is usually recommended to install the timing belt in the same direction it was removed. Mark the direction of rotation on the belt before it is removed, and make sure you reinstall it going the same direction as before. There's not much you can do to check the hydraulic tensioner. As long as it looks good under visual inspection, and it is not collapsed, it is probably good to go.

Yes you should be fine. I've done the same thing with no issues. I have a spare 7 bolt tensioner stored with maybe 2k miles, then dropped in a 6 bolt after the 7 bolt seized. I'm currently using the same t-belt that was on the 7 bolt, also with the same mileage before swapping to the 6 bolt. Now got around 10k and it's still fine. Will be changing it hear soon when I do my new valve seals, only because it now has over 10k miles, and would just be a better idea.
