    Hey everyone,

For those who have been following and helping me out, its been a long road. I did a few things this morning, installed the parts I took off and got the car to start. It still has the oil coming from the exhaust, but I will be switching the hx40 set up for the gt42 set up soon. Beginning of next week if my 44mm wastegate arrives.

Anyhow, I cant get it to stay on by itself. Meaning, I have to put my foot in the throttle and it will stay solid at 2500-3000 rpm. If I let off it will just back fire and die. I think it is the injectors. I need help with getting the car to stay on by itself. I don't want to keep starting it if I cant get it to stay because the engine is new and I want to break it in the correct way. I only kept it started with my foot in it to get a log so you all can see what I am dealing with.

Things I changed since last time: I drained the oil and it looked good. I also changed the spark plugs and gapped them to .22. I then changed the order of the wires, hen I switched the coil packs from the stock mounting area to the JMF bracket I switched them on accident. So I swapped them around, and im still not sure if they are in the correct order for sure. I also found that the fuel pressure was above 60psi and I adjusted it back to 43.5psi. I swapped out the cas with another green top. And I re did the wiring and connector for the cas.

I used what I can find for the 2200cc injectors to dial them in via the batadjust. Please look these logs over and tell me what you think. The car would back fire really bad under 1000rpm, but if I revved to constant 2500-3000 it would run solid.

thanks again for you help and god bless,

    Anthony B.

I had something similar on a previous build. For me, it was the crank trigger plate was on backwards. Is yours a 6 or 7 bolt?

    Are your grounds good?

    Any boost leaks?

Did you remove the resistor pack for the high z 2200s?

Did you check your mas out, or are you running speed density.
could also be clogged injectors might need to clean them using the jafro method

For anyone asking or wondering my modifications are up to date in my profile.

6 bolt bottom 2G head. Again mods in profile.

Good one here. I never knew anything about this. Can you please point me in the right direction with this please? Would this cause the car to back fire? or run the way it is through my explanations and logs??

Again, mods up to date in my profile. Running speed density, and the injectors are brand new 2200cc hi z injectors.

Thanks for all your replies and helping me out with trying to get the car running right so I can tear up the tarmac this year. God bless,

    Anthony B.

Glad you are making progress bro. I was thinking your fuel pressure was too high. Good call on the resistor pack urban. I completely spaced that.

So I did the transistor delete plug and nothing has changed. Still runs like crap and back fires like crazy if I try to keep it started????

    Hey pip,

    6bolt bottom 2g head, 1g cas.

When I was talking about maybe having the wiring messed up I was talking about the CAS. I also mentioned I may have the coils backwards as well, like the whole pack. You know how theres two packs, 41-23, when I took tem off the stock bracket and put them over to the JMF bracket I think I put them on wrong. When I got the car to start a couple months ago I had them the same though and it would start, and it wouldn't miss or back fire like it is now. But back when I got it to start a couple months ago I was on 3 cylinders and I couldn't get the car to run on its own either. I will post pictures in a couple minutes on how the coil packs are mounted on the bracket.

But today when I got it to start I had switched the coils to how I think they should be and it started. so the car would start either way I have the coils mounted, but both ways it would run like crap and wont stay on by itself.

I noticed I don't have my noise condenser thing plugged in that was on the manifold, I rewired to incab, but the condenser isn't plugged into it. I don't think this would take a toll like this though would it??

I also noticed my intake manifold and a piece of the upper intercooler pipe closest to the throttle body is really warm after I got it to start. Why would my cold parts be getting hot like that??

Im really at a lost right now, I keep trying to go over what I changed since I got it to start a couple months back and I only put on rci 2200cc, a1000 fuel pump, a1000 afpr, 10an feed, 8 an return, magnus rail, dynatek arc2, cop set up, and that's about it. I thought my coils were bad when I got it to star a couple months ago because of cylinder ones spark plug being brand new still when pulled it, but now that I think of it I took the arc2 and cop set up off and have the stock coils on right now when I got it to start.

Tomorrow im going to check the color codes of the injector wires, maybe I got them mixed up?? But I think I checked them already and were good, im going to double check either way.

    any suggestions at this point??

    Thanks and god bless,

    Anthony B.

Oh and I had a thought a couple minutes ago, what if the machine shop put my cams on backwards? would it cause something like this to happen??

When you took off your cas did you see the slot on the intake cam for the sensor its real hard to get these backwards.

I'll check tomorrow. My mind is working so hard right now trying to figure this out I'm sure I'll miss the simplest thing to tell you the truth. I'm starting to think maybe the injectors and coils aren't in sync. Like maybe I did mess up on the wiring and let's say 1-4 injectors are opening and 2-3 are sparking?? I don't know I'm just thinking of every single thing right now. I thought I would be so much more excited then this to get the car actually started, I mean I worked so hard for 9 months strait now and can't catch a break over these past two months trying to get it to run.

Oh thought you said you got it running in the other thread

The noise condensir thing isnt a big deal mine isnt plugged in either it's zip tied hidden by the AC bracket.

    I also have a 6 bolt, 2g head and 1g CAS.

Have you tried doing adjustments to global? Or other things in ecmlink? It sounds like if you have chrcked everything and done the resistor and the only things you changed were fuel related I'm going to guess you need to mess with your global. And probably battery adjust also some more.

If i was you I'd talk to drew j and see what he can do to help you out. Sometimes the injectors aren't matched when you get em.

You may have damage something in the Ecu running those high z injectors without deleting the resistor pack, I would pull out and inspect (Ecu). Also try using just your stock coil pack and wires without the dynatek arc 2 system.
