LOL, so I finally got my car running good. I bought the car with no turbo on it, but it still had the turbo motor. So I finally bought all the pieces to put it back to stock, with a few upgrades. I put it all together the other day, started it up, #1 it was blowing out enough blue smoke to ... to... well.. i dont know, but it was alot of ####in smoke. Great, the guy sold me a blown turbo(stock 14b). And the car wouldnt stay running becuase of a big boost leak somewhere..

So the car sat for a day or two, until this morning I decided to wake up at 9:00 to fix the car.. The previous night I drove about 100 miles to buy another stock turbo, this time it was in great condition, no shaft play whats so ever..

I get that put on this morning, after messing with the damn oil return line for 45 mins, that damn thing is a PITA..

Anyway, the turbo is on, next step was to find the boost leak. I decided to just remove the throttle body and use RTV for the gasket on both sides. As soon as I did that and got it all back together and started it up, it held PERFECT at 20in hg. at idle.

so I took it for a spin, and it ran awesome. No smoke, no leaks under the car (knock on wood). The only little problem im having now is it creeping to 14+psi. Keep in mind in on the stock 14b, ported 2g or housing and ported 2g mani, with a 3'' downpipe, nothing else. So im pretty sure thats the problem with that. Not much I can do right now, so i just gotta watch the boost gauge(autometer, not stock POS).

Needless to say, im actually happy with the car now. It runs good(again knock on wood) and its much faster than a NA turbo motor! :dsm::dsm::dsm:

You really really need to reconsider using rtv around the throttle body. It may be holding ok but more then likely it is causing more harm then good. I am not knokign your car at all but the tv can clog vaccum ports and or get sucked into the engine and cause damage. sounds like you are getting it uner control. good job
