well im new to the board and for the past two weeks ive been waiting for a flange to mount the 1g bov on..it finally came in..since then ive been boosting 9lbs...but i put it on tonight..and ohhh my god. im boosting 13lbs now is that normal. i mean im not complaining its like a whole new car and this is finally the reason why i sold my honda and never looked back. the car pulls like i didnt think it could and i know its just the beginning. and i didnt even install my joe P yet..so my question is is it normal after just installing a 1g bov for the boost to raise like that..its at a steady 13psi now..and thats all i changed..oh and some mustang went at me and he couldnt pull away i love DSMs!!

chances are your stock bov was just leaking. Depending on their condition some leak more than others. Now that your have a real bov and not one that is made of plastic your boost levels should not drop. Its normal

Good luck with the car :thumb:
