Cut the curb a little too much, heard it hit something under the car, There’s probably a new scrape here somewhere.

The secret to accessing high end member race tracks is knowing where your member friend buried most of the bodies!! 💪🏁

Best result I could manage. Lots of time left to gain. This track... This track is f***ING hard for a beginner. The blind corners are no joak. Its good to learn in a "slow" mechanical grip street car. I made rookie errors at turn 11, and lots of wrong lines that pointed me at the worker stand at turn 6. The downforce cars run MUCH faster - and the errors get exponentially worse at speed.

Those two turns on the far right side of the map look like a free trip into the wall/sandtrap/grass for a lotta drivers, if those are "blind" corners 😯

I'll get some in-car video posted. The hairpins look intimidating on the map, but in the car are easy to see - fast approach yes, but you can react in plenty of time to slow down.

The wheels on the car stay on the track, unnnnnnntilllll they donnnnnnn't"
Until they don't...

The line is supposed to go more like this - but I need to look in my mirrors more... I kind of got in the way on the racing line when John found me on the track in the GT4 X-Bow.

:D we've all been there. Part of learning the limits and having fun. So long as you don't break anything or anyone, it's all good.

It is. I got mad at myself. I knew the trouble spots going in, I was shown where to go, I knew the grip gets touchy cresting the hill, I was looking the wrong direction, missed turn - by a lot. Popped out a corner light, lost a fender lining nut, got the car dusty - that was the worst of it. John built me a hell of a setup with the OHLINS - and the Toyo RA1's are excellent. The brakes work really well with the improved grip, I'm not locking the rears as I was. I suggested changing the setup to be more snappy, but leaving the track facing forward has its advantages.

Ouch,

Also replaced a failed stock o2 sensor, and fired it over. No more alternator issues, and the o2 was cycling normally again.

I see Motor Trend TV is showing the whole 24 hours of Le Mans. About 7 hours into the race right now. I've only seen a little bit of it so far, but I think the guys they have covering it are doing a pretty decent job.
Fathers Day weekend!! We got F1 and Le Mans. Its a good time.
