did i read some where we have a spell check on here i found some one who might be able to use it

LMFAO!!!!!!!!! it's hard to think of some one as an adult when they spell that badly and use text lingo. He's just lucky Defiant hasn't seen this post yet, it would be gone LOL

NO offense, but you HAVE to spell properly here or admins delete your ish!

hey, i thank you on that b/c i wasnt sure alright im not looking for low 9s i want under 10.5 and would like 2 turn around 800 hp...

but your axles wont hold that much power nor the transmission or t-case. i havent driven my car with the current set up but with the FIC 550's and the big 16g my car destroyed 1 transmission and 2 transfer cases so im on tranny 2, t-case 3 but you have a long road ahead of you and your gonna break a lot of CRAP

seriously... where you trashed when you wrote this... not being able to spell simple things like exhaust and estimated... not too mention you would be over running that 2g maf

he wouldn't be over running the 2g mas. They can meter up to 50lbs per minute, and a 20g isn't flowing those numbers, or a bastard 16G as stated.

Somebody beat me to the 2g maf.

fastandlow94, his car came with a 3 bolt like I already mentioned.

A gt35r will get you the time slips you want and still be a good street turbo. Forget about the gt42r and t76 though. They are way overkill. You don't need 800hp to run those times though. Unless you are like a lot of supra guys who like to brag about dyno numbers.

i know the problems with geting it to the ground.. nothing a shep stage 3 wont take care of... and no my 2g maf was great and i had no problems with runing that... and no i hate dyno queens like crazy

LOL wow cant tell that you have know idea about the v8 world... at my eleven and a half to one compression i couldnt run more then 4psi... the bottom end would stay at the starting line... please no more coments like this one... and i never got to run my dsm on the track

Cheaper and eaiser to buy someone 9 sec car or even 11 sec.You must think its easy to run 10,11s.Your car runs 12s now right?:p
What are you tuning with?If you want a reliable fast car you are starting with the wrong platform, sad to say but a mustang would be easier to get fast times from without breakage.

OMG LOL the hole idea of this is not to get another v8 LOL im just looking for ideas and why would i want to buy someone elses problems... and on another note i dont want someones work i would like to start at the bottom and build it on my own not have some lame shop build it and call it mine....if its mine i want to build it and i know that a dsm isnt the most reliable car to build.. but there fun as hell

LOL wow cant tell that you have know idea about the v8 world... at my eleven and a half to one compression i couldnt run more then 4psi..

I can tell you know nothing about forced induction or methanol.....

wow good luck trying to run any forced induction into a car with more then 11:1 compression.... wow

High compression is the reason Honda guys go to LOWER compression pistons for TURBO applications. This is also the reason that our 4G63 engines have a lower compression ratio.

Now, if you want to run 9's, best words from me would to build it with the highest quality parts you can find.

-Engine you said you have that covered.
-For the transmission I recommend either a Shep stage 3 or 4. The 4 of course being the better. Along with that, a full set of locked differentials for the all out launch traction. And as said before, plenty of spare parts for when it will inevitably break on you.
-Turbo wise. I like the FP3575 for your goal. Maxed out it will get close to 750hp. And that should be good enough with some well placed weight reductions through out the car.
-Suspension would be next, but I don't know too much about drag setups, so I'm going to not suggest anything.
-Driver mod. It takes some time to obtain this rare but vital and considered one of the most important modifications, but it is worth it :thumb:

I know that everyone goes with lower compression when adding boost, I'm trying to be a smart ass either man and I thank you for your reply. I'm just saying that a certain 7 second AWD talon owner / driver / tuner / racer, may... may... be running custom 10.5:1 pistons in his motor. Again I'm just saying that it's a possibility. :shhh:

to lazzyboy22, you may also want to look into a PTT twin disc clutch setup, also getting your AEM EMS (which I assume you'll be using), tuned by someone like Brad will be of great help when reaching for single digits in a DSM.

Haha, that may possibly be for a better spool up. But if so, OMG with his like 50lbs boost pressure.

WOW. After reading all the prior posts, its obvious that most have assumed your asking an ignorant newb question. In the future its probably best not to ask such a vague question without elaborating more in the earler stages of your post. In this case i believe the frustration rises from the fact that your question seems to dismiss the building/tuning process that makes DSMing so near and dear to all of us. Plus a good answer would have to touch on almost every aspect of DSM modification which is the basis of this entire site. In other words, look up what you need to know in detail.

BUT, to attempt to answer your question...(cover a few main parts anyway)

Head/Block
- I would suggest a fully pollished ported with 1mm over valves and FP3x's and dual spring kit. The block you said you have covered however if you dont have it yet, you will have the best results with a 2.0 or i would personaly go with a 2.1 de-stroker.
Turbo
- Like many have stated before a 35r will get you where you want or the 40/42r will give you the hp #'s you wanted ( assuming tuned/setup correctly ) Ball Bearing is where its at!
Drive Train
- A dog box is the only thing i can see realy lasting under hugh hp #'s but the stage 3 or 4 will hold for a while. Again be prepared to replace many drive train parts.
Suspension
- Im not sure about Drag set ups but im sure a good coil over setup like one of TIENs will allow yout to dial in a good setting.
MISC
- Fuel ( 1000cc+ injectors, Large fuel pump, larger fuel line and rail, adjustable fuel pressure regulor)
- exhaust 3"+ from turbo back (fewer restrictions the better)
- Intake 3" piping + gm maft(optional) and big front mount intercooler
- Weight reduction

That would be my general summary. Each is its own question that has probably already been answered. Reasearch setups like suggested above by asking the realy 9's running guys. Sorry if i jumped you dude. Hope this helps.

Getting advice on how to run 9's from people that haven't broken into the 12's...ROFL

Everyone, especially the OP, needs to watch the spelling, grammar, and punctuation. If you're going to ask as technical a question as how to run 9's, you need to make sure your posts are crystal clear. "Because" is one word, not b/c; To and Too are words used in place of 2, unless you actually mean the number. Periods and commas go a LONG way to helping break up your thoughts into cohesive ideas that we can all understand instead of the walls or lines of text that I'm currently seeing. After you use a period, it's best to capitalize the first word of the next sentence. I know you think this isn't English class and you don't come here to learn how to write proper English, but obviously a few years of school didn't help you.

To see the requirements for running whatever time you want or horsepower level you want to reach, go to the list of 1/4 mile times or the dyno list and see what those people are running for modifications.

Then, if you're not familiar with the DSM platform, go to VFAQ Site - Visual Frequently Answered Questions and do some reading there. Then do some searching on the million other people who have asked this question.
