Ok, so what I'm trying to do is search for answers to my questions. Like , what is the max boost on a stock 2g GST turbo.

I've searched and can't findable answer.

Can anyone answer or point me in the rite direction

Thanks for the help. I must haves is something wrong the first few searches.

So what I understand is that 15-16 psi is max on a stock set up, but I guess I should have been more specific.

What I'm wanting to know is what is the max psi on the stock turbo, engine mods not being accounted for.

Nobody really cares to try because the t25 is a piece of junk. However, a 14b (stock 1g turbo) theres been numerous people in the 11s. Now, I cant really remember but to answer your question I THINK I read that the t25 is out of its efficiency range right around 20psi? There isnt much to gain from that turbo.

Thanks for that 1g tip. But I think if I bought a different turbo I wouldn't want to go to the 1G because I hear they have bad turbo lag.

But that's for the info !

Also, efficiency is the correct word I was thinking of.

So pretty much after 15 pounds, and I want more power, a turbo upgrade is in order

I've cranked the stock T25 up to 25 psi. I would say anything above 22 psi is pretty much out. This is with different setups as well. This was with an FP manifold and 3" exhaust.

Here is the best way to search any site, We'll use tuners for example. On Google type in:
max boost stock 2g site:dsmtuners.com. You can use this to search any site you would like. Just type what you are searching for, site:www. what ever site.com. Easiest, fastest way to search.

Thats your tech post buddy?

Thats your tech post, Bud??

haha!!

Op, wherever you heard that the 1g 14b has bad turbo lag you are terribly misinformed. It has spool almost identical to the t25 and will outflow it.

Even the variety of 16g's that are out there also spool insanely fast, as well as the larger 20g. The 20g is slightly slower but I used to see 20psi by close to 3200rpm or so.

I'm running 20 psi on a 14b and that turbo spools around 2800 rpm. It's a really fast spooling turbo and does flow really well. I am running on e85 though so I don't know how much of a difference that makes compared to pump gas.

Who told you a 14B is laggy? You should never take advice from them, ever again. Seriously.

Yes the T25 is tapped out much past 15psi. Outlet temps just get higher with more boost, and engine demand starts to catch up with the compressor and throughput starts to exceed what the turbine housing and wastegate can discharge efficiently.

They belong on a 1.5L, max.

Hit the nail on the head, even a 16g isn't laggy.
