I have searched and searched and searched. I've dug around on the actual connector outside to the limit that I could handle of mosquitos with no dice.

How do you de-pin the DSM ISC/IACV connector?

It looks like this.

I have searched and searched. Problem being, I don't know what this connector style is called. I watched Haltech's video on how to depin a variety of connectors, I've watched a few other youtube vids but none of them see to cover this specific connector. Please have mercy on me and show me the light. Whether it's another article here on Tuners, or a video, or something.

You need to pull the green piece out of the inside of the connector first. Then from there release the tabs on the pins. It helps to push it in firmly first and then reach in and pry the tab to release and pull it out.

I’d look up depinning a deutch style plug which should help too.

I got the green plastic cover off(on my plug it's actually gray, and held in with four tabs, was a PITA to get it off) but the pins inside seem to be held in by magic. I can't even see any tabs holding them in. I pressed on both sides of the pin with a tiny screwdriver and yanked on the wires to no avail.

Not the ISC connector, exactly, but it’s the same style of connector: How to Take Apart 2G Radiator Fan Connector

Thank you Brian, I knew you'd know how.

Can I just say...what a God d*** nightmare of a connector. Lol. Why can't the plastic cover and insulation be what holds the wires in? Or just ONE locking tab on ONE side?

Trying to do this in the dark with a literal (and I don't use that word ever unless I mean it) cloud of roughly 100-200 mosquitos surrounding you, was never gonna work.

This thread is resolved. That's exactly what I needed.

I struggled with this too, but it was the alternator connector. I probably watched the same number of videos as you did before just trial and error took place. it's a finicky but very secure connector, that's no doubt.

For value-add to this thread, keep an eye out in the street gutters for steel street sweeper bristles. The ones I find while walking the dog are usually about 6-8" long and about 1/8" wide. Use a Dremel to size down to fit in your connector. Now you have a free spring steel de-pin tool!
