Colt4g63 Also: The license plate disguise; I like it :p

Not to threadjack, but it seems like we have some very talented paint guys here.
Anyone know if a carbon fiber hood could be shot with a pearl paint so it would match the car but the carbon would still be slightly visible?? Im not sure I like the look of a carbon hood, but if it could be painted to see a little fiber weave under the paint, it would look great IMO.

He "shaved" the fog light holes. So it's a OEM bumper with the fog holes filled in.

I opted to bring a CF hood back from terribly clear coat failure while having my car painted. I opted for the translucent look that body matches the paint perfectly from a few feet away but still allows the carbon to show through. I wasn't the painter, but worked very closely in with him after restoring the hood in order to understand just how he did it.

I sanded and polished the dickins out of the hood. I had brought it back from complete rot to this:

I'd laid down some clear coat that didn't bond well with my painters clear. It fish eyed terribly. He sanded it out again, then with a ton of fish eye reducer, laid down about 2 coats of regular clear coat to seal the hood from attempting to drink the base coat. From there, he heavily reduced a batch of base coat and laid down the color/tint. Finally, he cleared the hell out of it a few more times.
