whats up tuners. i havent posted on here in a while so bare with me. but i wanted to show everyone on here what ive been working on for the last year. i had an idea for a new way to control a waste gate without using a diaphragm. this way you are no longer limited to vacuum or pressure. with this setup i can now open or close the waste gate when ever i want. weather its by rpm, gear, etc. i can also open or close the wast gate manually by the push of a button. there is a 16x2 character display showing the current pressure and warnings. as well as a led (blue- no pressure, green-pressure rising, yellow- pressure reached, red- !over pressure!
this controller is extremely precise with barley any fluctuation of boost. now i have censored the device i use to control the waste gate because i need to get it patented before i show. please leave your opinions and questions i also need some testers as well just pm me for that.

just to clear a couple things up too
- i did not design the product i used to control the waste gate but method i used was designed by me.
also there is internal and external waste gate configuration as well as multiple turbos.

Very interesting! I'd like to read into how you go about actuating the wastegate and controlling it, etc. It'd be interesting to know whether or not it would be able to control and vary the vanes/nozzle on variable geometry turbos like the HE351 and open up an entire new option there.

i can definatly help you out with that :D microcontrollers are very powerful now days. now is that a turbo off the ford diesels? if it is i can take control of it easily with pulse width modulation :sneaky:
 
That one is off the 6.7L Dodge Rams, but I believe the Powerstrokes have a vgt too. I don't have one of those personally, but if it's easy for you, you should definitely test it out. There are tons of people working on making those vgt actuators work correctly and if you could pull it off, hats off to you sir!
 
once pressure is reached the waste gate will open (obviously). as it opens you will find that the waste gate does not just open when the pressure is reached but it will open and close a couple degrees very fast keeping the pressure within its spec, (almost no fluctuation) no diaphragm will be able to accomplish this. i can also program any of my personal preferences or the customers. basically there is no limitations on what this can do, you tell me how you want your turbo to react under load and ill program it. or maybe you want different pressures with different gears. or progressively rise as rpm does? the lcd screen and the led is also programmable.

basically i need a couple testers guys, someone to try it out and tell me. i will guarantee that this will not blow up your car. i have tested it with a couple hundred psi of compressed AIR flowing through the turbine side which made the compressor side build about 3psi i will post a video of it soon so anyone interested can see the proof :thumb:

i just wanted some support from this forum being that i own a dsm and have been on here a lot. this forums usually a little more lay back than the rest.

i guess i shoulda just said boost creep, spike, more stable pressures LOL
