$10 Idle-up diaphragm works wonders...

So your drawing air from before the turbo and then have another line feeding that air after the throttle body? Or are you just venting that air? Sorry I still wasn't sure after your last post.

No, I put the solenoid right in between the intake pipe and the intake manifold. When its powered, the vacuum in the IM sucks air in and idle goes up.

Hey man thanks alot. So it's basically the isc just on a switch instead of being controlled by the ecu. I have to see if I have a vacuum source on my intake manifold. My reason for not wanting to do it this way is because I didn't want to drill and tap my SMIM. If there is a port there already I will most definitely do it this way.
Thanks again.

I also need to look into soothing for my q45 I have to sit there and wait for it to worm up before it will idle. I also hooked up the coolant lines so i can try to adjust it the proper way.

If you end up doing this HERE

Or something else an still have any issue or either way. Shoot me a email. I'm sure I could take a look and get it sorted out so you are not having any problems either way with cold starts. :thumb:

Where in Washington are you? I'm moving to Spokane this summer

FWIW I tried the controlled vac leak option before messing with the throttle. In the end I had a huge solenoid with a 1/4" hole plugged into one of the large ports on teh intake. Ended up needing that large of a "hole" to get the idle high enough. It made my idle fluctuate though. Coming down from any kind of decent RPM the engine would want to stall out. :hmm:

Sounds like it may be unrelated and just something in the tune ... If you want I'd be happy to take a look at a log if you are up for some constructive criticism :) an want to email me directly rather then posting something here...

Appreciate the offer, but this seems to work well for now, I don't want to get into it again. :thumb:

Yeah I'm not too fond of this method. I do like the idea of using a solenoid to bypass the throttle plate. Since its the same concept of the stock ISC, its tested and proven. I just hope the solenoid is strong enough to hold up to high boost pressures.

Thanks again forcefed for the idea and all the help. Hopefully when I get back to my car ill be able to get a nice cold idle going.

So 1g, your pretty close to English racing I guess? I considered going there for a tune, but if your good on v3 and speed density maybe we could meet in the middle sometime this summer?

Yes, not too far from them at all... If you would like feel free to Email me directly and I'd be happy to answer any question you may have.

But, let's keep the talk about my services out of the thread an keep it on topic :)
