Hi, i have EDM spec GS 4G63 N/A rebuilt and turboed. Transmission is F5M31

My idea was to fit LSD to transfer the power of 300-350hp to the front wheels, so I opened transmission, checked, if all things inside is fine and changed the stock open diff with OBX LSD - so here started the path - NO speedo gear, little different shape than stock, but new bearings fit, so outer diameter in place for CV joints is the same but I'm not sure about inside.

Here is the question and help needed - I had problem to move out axles from the stock diff and now when I finally tried to fit axles to trans in car and trans, they are too much loose and when move the wheel in the air, I hear skipping splines and CV joints are so much loose and moving up and down and after few turns they jump off from the trans and it make 1 cm space, so if I fill the trans, it leak all fluid away, so I didn't fill it.

It's possible, OBX need a bigger inner CV joint with more splines? I didn't measure it and backward I look to the photos and I see little differences what I didn't seen then.

Solution
Non turbo shafts have 25 spline going into the transmission, the turbo axles that fit the lsd will have 27 splines to make up for the gap you’re experiencing.
Nice to know, here is second problem. Here where I live is available only 25 splines CV joints 😄 and on eBay I found just whole axles.

And off topic, can anybody tell me differences between my F5M31 and your turbo F5M33 just from photos you see? I need to know, if between transmissions is some huge differences, if any in terms of power transfer and durability of the inside parts (I can for that question create another thread for visibility)

eBay has turbo axles that will fit your transmission properly, and there are differences between the two transmissions. The turbo one has tapered bearings to account for the extra torque loads, along with a slightly different gear ratio

No stores have axles for a turbo car?
Sadly not, all of them are 25 splines

After longer search I found one pair of axles what have 27 splines on inside CV joints.

About gear ratios I know, because that trans is very short and fifth gear for cruising is very short, I can say useless for highway, where I go about 4k rpm at 120kmh and max speed about 220. Other gears is good for dynamic driving on the roads and close connection between them, almost like Evo III.

That's odd. Turbo 2g cars should be 27 spline. This is FWD only. Seems very odd that Europe would be different. Seems more likely most parts stores think there is only one set. I had a very difficult time with AWD axles when the 1g cars were newer. Sales would always try and give you FWD axles.

Honestly, for N/A engines and chassis is here a lot of parts for exchange like bushings, arms, wheel bearings, timing belts. But in terms of GST or even GSX, you are dependent for import like when I wanted parts for turbo, few parts I bought from second hand who gived up project, but other US, or UK, Poland, Germany, Japan.
