Well today i installed a walbro 255 fuel pump, AFPR, and fuel gauge so on so forth... Well here is my problem. I took it out for a spin beat on her a lil and when i got back i popped the hood to double check some stuff.. well my header was cherry hot litterly.. and i dont think its ever done that before... So what would be the casue of this????

Thats werid.. Concidering i was never running that lean with my stock pump and frp, But now all the sudden im running lean after installing a bigger fuel pump with rewire.. and afpr... How would i just adjust the frp to 37 with vaccume line off?

Take the vacuum line off the afpr with the car running and plug the vacuum line - adjust the afpr until the gauge reads 37psi - put the line back on.

Well heres a good question for you guys.... I thought i cured the high rpm miss.....Well its backkkk LOL Im running 17si constant and holding it well.... Here and there it will do the high rpm miss... im not to sure whats going on Plugs and Wires have less then 500 miles on them there gapped at .026, So with that being said the car runs pretty good. Im going to replace new plugs since i ran seafoam but i cleaned them up quite well. any options..

Why are you running 17psi on stock injectors without a logger? If you had a logger (which you should if you run 17psi on stock injectors) you could check your IDC and see if you've maxed out your injectors. Sure, you put in a 255 and AFPR (assume you got base fuel pressure straightened out by now?), but you still have the stock injectors. They only flow so much fuel when open all the time, and if you go past that, you can't open them any longer than always, right? So spend $25 and get a used Palm, ADLD interface, and free logging software and find out if you're lean at 17psi on stock injectors.:thumb:

Well i know that is kind of stupid but my buddy hooked his logger up for me and my injectors are at 94% DC at 17psi wot and my fuel pressure goes up to about 60 when im in full boost.

went out this morning and adjusted the fuel to 37.5 like said.. and the car ran for crap. would barley idle. So i put it back to 43

Search to be sure, but the base fuel pressure on a 1g (I think) is either 38 or 38.5psi. What might have happened is this:

You had the fuel pressure set to 43psi. Your friend logged and showed that at 17psi, your injectors were maxed out. Then you turned down the fuel pressure so that the injectors will flow less fuel at the same pulse width. So now at 17psi, your injectors are still maxed out but flowing less fuel (because of lower base fuel pressure), so you leaned out the AFR and the car ran like crap.

Or it's something else.

Turn down the boost if you can (not creeping). If you can't, turn down the boost by easing off the gas pedal. Get a logger if you can or borrow your friend's. Check out your front O2v and IDC and knock when you have your base fuel pressure set correctly and your boost turned down to 12psi. If the car runs like crap still, something's wrong or I'm missing something (or both).

Well the car was acting funny this morning i so started messing around with some stuff... first culprit was the fpr i tuned it back to 43 with vaccume off thats the only way the car runs normal, idles fine and gas respoce is exelent, at any other setting it bogs really bad when i give it gas, So i set it back to where it was.. at 16psi im running 60psi for fuel, I dont know what it is but when i set it to 37ish with vaccume line off the psi drops more and car wants to stall, so im not to sure what that indicates.

that happen to me on a 92 fwd turb0, for me it was the timing belt was off by a tooth or two, once i fixed that it was fine, i just got lucky because the valves an pistons never hit :talon:

Close. Vacuum hose off and plugged the FSM says:

1G auto - Spec 42.7psi (Standard value 41 - 46 psi)
1G manual - Spec 36.3psi (Standard value 36 - 38 psi)
