ECMlink (help) nitrous setup with ecmlink v3 full

i have ecmlink v3 full.
im hooking up a dry 50 shot on a button, to my throttle body this sunday using it to get up on the converter.

question:
the activation button for the nitrous solenoid can i use that button to activate a second fuel map on ecmlink only when the button is pressed?

Why not just have ecmlink control the nitrous it is much easier. I use to have it on a button but honestly why have more to worry about during launch.

I understood that you want to switch to the secondary fuel map (MinOct map) in ECMLink "only" while you are pressing the momentary push button switch to activate the nitrous solenoid.
If so, try to wire like the diagram below and check "use secondary maps when idle switch is active" in AuxMaps tab, and "simulate idle switch from TPS" in RPM/TPS tab (if necessary). I think this way would work.

I made this diagram assuming you wired the dry kit in a basic way. That may be different from your wiring but what I want to show is the idea that you add one more relay (2nd relay) for the idle switch (ECU) to make it momentarily grounded.
In this way, the 2nd relay would be activated only while you are pressing the nitrous activation button and the idle switch pin would be grounded through the 2nd relay.

Also make sure if the wiring is working properly by checking in stream page. IdleSw should be "1" while you are pressing the push button (while the nitrous solenoid is activated), and goes "0" when you release the push button.

Not to change the topic too much but any reason you went with a dry shot over a wet shot? I just installed a wet shot to get up on the converter and chose the wet kit to have that “on-demand” system with the press of a button!

I do like the idea of having ECMLink control it to ease the launch but also like the button in case I wanted to spray a little in 3rd if it’s close haha

a dry shot is way easier to set up, and my turbo is big enough to where i dont need extra juice down the track
okay, im using mine to only spool the turbo and get up on converter, and 50-75 dry shot is all i will need, but you only really need a wet shot when you dont have any other way of adding fuel.

im using link to add extra fuel ONLY when i press my nitrous button, there will be no perimeters set for it to automatically go on at certain pedal positions or rpm's ect.

I have a Zex and NX wet kit on my dsms, too.
Wet and dry both have pros and cons. A wet kit would be easier and simpler at initial setup but has a bit higher risk of fire while using and more difficult to control the fuel. A dry kit requires a bit more work for fueling at the beginning, but once all set in ECU it has more accurate fuel control and it would be safer.
OP would also be able to spray anytime by pressing the button as long as if he would make the secondary map completed as a dedicated fuel map for the nitrous.

-left button on steering wheel activates my MSD box for a launch rpm (4000rpm) as well as retard timing (starting at -5*)
-right button activates a dry shot of 50 as well as activates the idle switch (as you diagrammed)

im using idle activation to activate extra deadtime on the injectors to add the extra fuel, which is working great btw!
so with both buttons pressed on the steering wheel, there will be a launch limit of 4k with timing retard as well as my nitrous and extra fuel!
now my thought on doing it this way is so i can leave the second aux maps open for other types of fuel and timing for future improvements on the car!
how does my finding suite you?

this was my discovery for today, car wont see the track till spring =(, but on that quick test it hit 4k in drive and built 3 psi of boost, i think im gonna through a 75 shot in it, right now is only a 50

Sorry I can't tell since I don't have personal experience with those. I run only 91 pump and VP C/Q16. That's only I can have here. Hope someone knows and would chime in.

Nah, stay here for the best advice.
As long as you keep those AFR's at 11ish on the button, the motor is fine. IDK if I'd bump up to a 75 shot yet.
Do some shakedowns and see how it feels.
I ran wet shots on my Small Block Chevys, and they really felt like an instant hit of a 60mm turbo or bigger. There is alot of cylinder pressure going on in boost and on the juice so "sneek" up on anymore until you deem it necessary.
I haven't got mine completely installed yet but I will start with a small shot and work up with my system (its a wet shot so sorry).
I just don't want you to hurt your motor with it..

so the jetting kit states a 75 shot jet for 93 is a 50 shot jet for e85, im going to be using ignite red for my fuel, so im not to sure what jet to use , and the nitrous is only for the line to make some boost for the launch, the 75/74mm turbo will do the rest. no nitrous down track

You activate a relay for nitrous solenoid through EGR solenoid or Fuel pressure solenoid activation feature in ECMLink by setting parameters you want.

I tried that. But it wasn't working. I was using the fps pin#3 to the signal of relay to the actual the nitrous solenoid but it wasn't activating it. Could it be because I was only getting 1 volt as a signal from the fps pin?

This is the cause. ECU will be grounded to activate/trigger a relay. Not to send a power.
