GSX wont build boost but the car drives in low rpms ??? and went i step on the gas all the way it wont accelerate dont know if its a boost leak or what?? any tips in want to do would help ASAP :(

how do i check them??

Really??? Boost tester! Look that up.
There could be many things. What have you touch lately turbo and engine wise.
Could be bad wastegate like I had or a major leak.
Let me give you an example. I have the fp adjustable acutuator. I was fooling around to run it at 15 psi without a boost controller. I adjusted to soft so when I went to step on gas. I had 0 psi no matter what rpm and it took forever to get to atleast 3 rpm. so you could say I was sorta driving around without a turbo.

Another (even easier than a boost leak test) thing to check, that has happened to me is that the cotter pin on the wastegate actuator broke and the arm fell off, open wastegate, no boost. Easy to check. If it were a boost leak of that magnitude (i.e. NO boost) I would think it would be making one hell of a whistle under boost wherever it was leaking, unless the entire intercooler pipe blew off.

so i just checked it and it was running 5psi and i have it set to 12? so idk, but i just took off all stock intercooler piping, then put it bak on so idk ??

Removing and replaceing the intercooler piping won't fix anything. Run the boost leak test and spray everything with soapy water and find the bubbles.

ok just tested it again now the gas pedal wont work, i can literally move it up and down and there is no resistance im ####ed and im only getting 5psi

Sounds like you should take it to someone who is an expert.

How knowledgeable are you with repairs and maintenance?

Not very apparently. As much as I hate to say this I think you need to take your car to a mechanic and probably spend a lot of money on repairs you don't need because they most likely won't even know what a boost leak test is.

So you can either do that or you can stop being lazy and research, read, and learn.

another thing, do u guys know why the gas pedal isn"t working, i can move it up and down with my hand like if it wernt connected, and to the guy saying eveyone in the younger generation has everything handed to them well im 20 and i just got into dsm's so im trying to learn

Why don't you look instead of asking? The gas pedal is connected to your throttle body via a throttle cable, so obviously there is something wrong between the two. Grab your knee pads and a flash light and peek up under the dash to make sure the ball end of the cable is attached to the pedal assembly and that the barrel end of the cable is attached to the throttle body. Have a friend watch the throttle body plate as you push the gas pedal to veryify if it's opening all the way, if not, it's a bad throttle cable and they are relatively easy to replace. For future reference, the search feature is your friend as I'm sure this has been covered a million +1 times.

No, they are two separate issues, one thing at a time. You said the gas pedal feels as if it has no resistance, lets start there and make sure that it's operating your throttle body correctly. Do as I told you in the previous post.

idk i cant get it in, but how would i fix the boost leak? bc i dont have a boost leak tester

well i tried to pull it but theres so much tension tht it doesnt want to move far enough

You have to turn the throttle plate, there is a camber plate on the side that is spring loaded turn that, which in turn will allow you to insert the barrel into the hole. If you can't figure this out please take it to a garage.

Also, please use whole spelling, nobody likes laziness.

would you have a diagram by any chance?

A diagram? Look where my finger is, push that down and towards the driver side till it won't go anymore. That's all your doing then connected the piece

ok i think i got it, sorry i thought the newbie forums were where u can ask for help and learn, but thanks for the help sorry about the attitude just flustered a bit. when i figure this out can you help with my boost leak problem?

Understandable that your a noob but the line has to be drawn somewhere, a basic knowledge of mechanics goes a long way apparently.
But in regards to your boost leak, the only help that can be provided is telling you to do a boost leak test. Google it, check classifieds, eBay, search results on how to make one.
