Just a general question but how different is the Gt2871r Turbo compared to the stock T-25? I hear that the top end power of the Gt2871r is higher but in overall specs it’s smaller turbines than the T-25. Also does the Gt2871r bolt right up to the manifold? I’m probably wrong about everything but anything is appreciated.

The GT2871R is definitely not smaller in any aspect.

A TB2566 (stock 2G T25) struggles to hit 275awhp. It has a 38.7mm compressor inducer and a 52.2mm compressor exducer.

A GT2871R will support over 400awhp. It has a 53mm compressor inducer and a 71mm compressor exducer.

Are you trying to refer to what is called a t28? Looks like a stock t25 basically?

Yes, basically i’m just trying to find what turbo is as close to the stock t-25 or 13g turbos
What you mentioned isn't it. T28 was what somebody once used to stay "stock appearing" for whatever reason. We have long since surpassed the reason to do so and there are way better options. Even a simple 16g. What are you trying to do?

Just noticed you have multiple threads and a wanted ad. Please try and keep these things together. Might eliminate some confusion. It appears you broke the chra and need a replacement. Are you also aware your car shouldn't have a tdo4 on it from the factory? Somebody must have changed it. Possibly to a 13 from a 1g automatic? Can you post a pic of your compressor housing please.

Yes sorry for all the confusion, I just have a thought and have research it and then i just end up posting a question here, very messy i know. What im trying to do is revert the turbo back to either a stock t-25 or the 13g that it came with. I know it’s not stock for the 2g but it worked well.

Check your exhaust manifold. The 1G auto that the 13g came off of had physically smaller internal dimensions and an offset turbine port that won’t line up with any dsm bolt on turbine housing. It’s different.

If it’s just a normal 2G exhaust manifold then I’d just go with a 14B or 16G swap since everything else is there. The lines are also different for the 13G I believe.
