.Love the TIG here too!.. One thing you might want to do is to get a female fitting half to screw over the male threads when welding. Even though TIG don't throw sparks i have had an arc jump and ruin a perfectly good fitting a few times way back.. now I have one female of each AN size to put over the threads while i weld (also keeps them from getting banged up on the welding table and by wrenches!

EDIT: IS THAT 1/8 filler rod???... If so that's HUGE!!!!!!! ( I use 3/32 at most and mostly 1/16th for nice fine beads, but since AL eats up filler fast there is a lot of times i will just run the 3/32)
Either make the shutter speed faster or close the aperture...or some of both.
