I am trying to wire up my shift box color from forced four. Im having problems wiring the harness up to the TCU wires. I have to wire into Solenoid A and B and the pressure control solenoid as well.

My problem is that I have been looking for a 2g tcu pinout. I found one from atdsm.com but the color that they are saying the wires should be are different colors from what my wires actually are. I dont know which pins I need to tap into. I have a 95' awd talon.

Lmk if anybody knows where I can start!! THanks!

Got all of the wiring done, but I was curious about something. The tcu connectors have some pins pulled out. Since I wont have a tcu at all, does it matter if those pins were pulled out?

If you were having no shifting problems before the box.I would think those pins would be done for a reason.Try out the box and see how up and down shifting go..Then if nothing is wrong :hellyeah:

I'm not positive on the foruced 4 box, but the rooadsurge box you can turn off and go back to using the tcu to control shifting. So I would leave the tcu installed. If the box does shut off, keep it hooked up in case your mom or girl drive the car.

My shifter doesnt turn off,So my girl/(whoever) can't drive my car.;)

I guess ill have to wait to see how it does when Im ready to start the car, I actually never had a tcu in my car, just swapped from a 5 speed but my car was originally an auto which is why it has all the tcu wiring still. The forced four color came with a toggle switch to go back and for between the tcu and the shift box, so it probably doesnt matter if any of the wires are pulled out, but thanks again man!

You can use those splice clips..There not the best because if you do it too many times in one spot you just severed the wire..But ive used them alot, and never had a problem besides messing a few up,and having to buy more than i need.

But very effective the splice clips are.

This is interesting. Im going to be using a 95 gsx as a donor. My car was originally an auto so i have the harness and tcu. Just found out that the fwd tcu will send the car in to limp mode if used with awd tranny(good info for those curious)
Now i see i can run without a tcu at ALL by using a forcedfour box. I was planning on getting one anyway but this is just a huge bonus. For 200 bucks plus all the options its a sweet deal.

Anyone know if the auto harness is different from a 2ga to 2gb? Just in case i end up putting the 95 tcu in?
I will be keeping my 97 ecu(link v3 installed already). I shouldnt expect any problems there

Its not hard.If you have wired a stereo and the new stereo still works.Youll be fine.

The toggle thats included is to turn the box off,the tcu will then take back over shifting. The shifts will go back to normal slow soft shifts..

Hey guys just trying to figure this out same kinda issue trying to install a shift box and I know how to splice and such but I'm dealing with at least 42 pins and wires and I don't want to go cutting the wrong ones. If this was so easy for you guys can you she'd some light for me please dealing with a 1991 talon fwd auto tcu is a MD 750092 can't seem to find a pinout diagram that matches what the install directions are sayin
