So I am going to run a shift box in 1997 AWD, but I am wondering what brand is the easiest use/setup. It appears RoadSurge is a forum sponsor, but their website looks to be outdated and show's that they have no inventory. Any help here is appreciated. I want to get this done ASAP before spring comes around.

Thanks

I have a forced four shift box plus and I love it! Easy install but I do wish it came with a separate gear display I could put in the dash. I hooked it up to my horns for down-shifting and my cruise control for up-shifting.

Are there any decent aftermarket steering wheels with paddle shifters out there you could hook up for upshifting/downshifting?

I did order the Forced Four most recent kit with the display. Thanks for the help I am excited about trying it out.

I looked into the steering wheels and they are just so expensive! And unless you buy one from another car your probably not going to have an airbag. The cruise control lever works great and follows the steering wheel.

Yea I prefer AirBags at this current time. I still drive this car on the street frequently. Safety First kiddo's

Glad to see I'm not the only one currently looking into this.

Good news on road surge as well! I may wait to see what he has cooking.

Most of the info out there for manumatic electronics is way outdated.

As for other wheels, I'm not sure on aftermarket, but My IS300 has downshift buttons on the front of the steering wheel and upshifts on the back. I'm sure with a little DIY it could be made to work.

I'm probably gonna pull a shiftronic shifter from another vehicle to retrofit in my 2g.

That's good news woth roadsurge I was about to try and order one for my 1g but if theirs new stuff comming I may wait, anyone have one in a 1g already wanting to know what I'm about to get into with it I try dragging my auto as it it just blows the tires off in firs won't shift till I let off then bangs limiter in second 9 orn10 times then slow shifts in 3rd.. my 13s runs at 108mph should be 12s at 115 I'm sure the build well supports the time besides the injectors.. annoying to say the least when the chargers pull away when you let off then you just about pass them at the big end they don't stand a chance... LOL
