first time with dsmlink and my car wont run it just spits and sputters

Installed dsmlink v3 lite, changed coil on plug primary ignition wires, inverted cas and the car does nothing but spit and sputter then dies. unplugged the ecu and switched
wires back to normal and it runs fine off of the maftranslator. Whats going on?
 
i tried it with and without and it was still missin.

i tried more fuel less fuel i even had it set for 450 injectors and it was still sputtering.

I just installed walbro 255, 1050cc injectors and a afpr

and what do you mean by

are you saying it runs good with the maf translatior but not with the stock maf? clarify please.
 
just one thig is the ecu damaged?? and u can email thomas d about it and he will reply pretty fast.
 
it has a 3 inch gm maf, atmosphere bov and when i put the stock 97 ecu in and tune with maftranslator it runs fine. but it doesnt do good at all with dsmlink.

I dont think the ecu is damaged, it can cut the fuel pump on and off, it just seems like the car doesnt want to run. shouldnt 1050cc injectors be set at 57 percent?
 
i'll make a log in a few, but i dont see how its gonna help anything. i have to crank and crank and then give it gas while im cranking and itll fire and then i give it gas and nothing give it gas it revs a little. fighting to keep it alive itll run for about 5-25 seconds.

i mean i set the maftranslator for 1050cc injectors. then i installed eprom ecu and swithed primary ignition wires and no matter what i do it has a bad idle. So, i put the stock ecu back in and switch the wires back they were originally and unhhoked my laptop and with the maftranslator set at 1050cc injectors it runs fine.

For a 1997 car with a 1995 eprom ecu, you still have to change the fuel injector wires at the ecu plug. If the spark plugs fire different, remember that the fuel injectors fire at the same time as the plug wires just earlier in the cycle.
 
i dont have the stock maf. I have a 97 cas, so do i still need to swap fuel injector wires? does the box you have to check use non 95-96 cas because thats the box i checked
 
no it wasnt an option. it said if i am using an aftermarket maf to select stock maf because thats what gm maf simulates

yes....went to start my car up today and its running great. i guess it was just flooded bad. now ive gotta figure out how to lean it out some its running 18.0's and off the wideband
 
To post up a log, in the reply box (go advanced) there is a paper clip in the upper tool bar. That is for attaching attachments. Click on that and on the screen you can upload your files. You'll click on browse, locate the file you want to post from your hard drive, hit ok, and then click on upload.
 
When you installed and ran the car using ECMlink, did you change the injector settings in the MAFT box back to stock 450 settings (AUX - 4, BASE - 2, Everything else - Off)? From this post it doesn't sound like it.

If not, you're basically adjusting for the injector size in two places - MAFT and ECMlink.
 
yeah i was reading and i came across a page that said set for 450 injectors. I did set it to 450 maybe thats what finally got my car to start. So to get my afr to 11 to 1 do i need to cut down my injector size?
