ok im new to this and need help just put in new engine up grades are greddy bov type rs tdo5-h turbo greddy cold air intake injen turbo piping greddy intercooler rc 550 cc injectors and walbro 255lph as far as i kno the ecu is from 97 to 99 not the factory ecu ### i had to switch plug wires to make it run not stock ..ok car idles good..but when you first start it it idles lil crappy til you hit gas then idles fine as soon as you go past 2500 rpm it starts bucking then boost kicks in..changed maf sensor plugs wires tps sensor sensor on intake sensor underneath fuel rail long plug..i got a factory ecu from a 1995 gst didnt hook it up yet?? it did the same symptoms with stock injectors so i kno it aint that...i need help and i dont wanna change ecu if not needed...i didnt check boost leak and vacume leaks..the engine light was on maf sensor so i got new one and hooked it up..no changes at all same thing..new timing belt installed at garage...any ideas thanks..

Do a leakdown test to ensure you do not have a boost leak somewhere especially if you have the stock piping. Check around the intercooler and the throttle body elbow to ensure your clamps are tight and that a pipe hasn't blown off.

hi i tried everything its got great compression and its at the shop now i gave up looking for problem but as soon as i find ill post never kno if something that hasnt happened yet ill post thanks for the help

I kinda had this same situation, where any time i was under boost the car stubbled horribly. As soon as boost kicked in the car sounded fine, but u cant drive boosted everywhere, chill out, LOL. anyways for me it was a few boost leaks but mainly the ecu. soon as it was swaped out sputtering went away.
actually my car was doing the same thing. so.. ima say ECU. but still gotta do BLT.

Sorry guys ive been busy working on this car.maf was the problem atleast the wires for the maf were.now i got a couple questions ?i kno i need to get a fpr..but the new turbo i have on it now spools great but then cuts out like theres no fuel when accelerating hard ?im buying dsm link soon.i live in this hillbilly town that has no tuning shops around i need help tuning car..any ideas ive searched the forum but found minimal help.need

If you have the Black Box Ecu why not get a cable and just use evoflash/evoscan?

It is backwards compatible you just need the correct ecu. Its the one with a black plastic case instead of a metal case. Or you can use an evo ECU as well. Requires a few modifications.

Also I would put the correct sized injectors back in the car, and run it at wastegate pressure (line straight from wastegate to boost source) until you have a Wbo2 and something to tune/log with.

Ok got isues fixed.now i need help i bought this garrett t3 t4 turbo turboknetics the turbo looks huge i kno i need a t3 manifold etc but will it fit need help
