fastest spool up for 8th mile racing?

The stock converter is useless. If you want to race at all you need to upgrade to a higher stall.

I ran a 12.3 quarter with stock everything tranny wise and internals except an upgraded tranny cooler. I stalled it at 3500 with my e3 and made 20-21psi off the line. 1.7 60'. I think anything bigger than that would hurt performance in the 1/8th.

The stock converter will tear up quickly with any kind of power, broke one on the third launch with a 16g and another with a gt35r after two launches

I can't wait to get my new converter. I just need to decide on who to go with. I don't have much cash on hand though, thats the issue. IPT wants $475 for theirs PLUS a $200 core charge.

In my opinion, if your racing the 1/8 mle in a stock auto. THen leave what yougot. 1/8 is so short the bigger the turbo the more lag. just hold the brake and build boost the 13g will have spool almost instantly. Now if you actually want to make it down the WHOLE track(1/4) then you should upgrade but for the 1/8 just be glad for your spool

It's an auto there is no lag. Go in hot and that's it. For 1/8th mile racing you would want as lose of a converter as possible especially since you won't be seeing third gear.

TSI monster, if you want a converter let me know, I offer them and my prices are cheaper then IPT, you get more and my core charge is no where near that.

you got a website or more information on your converters???

With the stock converter I would not run bigger than a small 16g for the 1/8th mile.

The 13b can do some damage if you have a ton of mods around it on a stock converter. It would probably be a really fun street car if you did Exhaust, FMIC, Cams, Intake, TB etc with that turbo.
