I need suggestions for a new muffler. I have a carbon fiber tip on it and its just louder than I want to hear. I have 2.5 inch dp with 3 inch dp back. What are some good ones you might suggest that will sound good but not to loud to the point where its annoying. I was thinking maybe a Greddy SP? Thanks

Nothing just straight through, no cat, or anything. Putting one on would most likly cost more than a new muffler.

Then get another muffler and put it somewhere between the dp and the muffler you have on there... it'll be a lot quieter.

Simply getting another muffler won't solve your problem... the 'problem' is with your exhaust and its components, or lack thereof, that is making it loud.

not really.... well if you get a straight through one you shouldn't see a difference in performance.

and if anything, it'll be a 2-3hp loss LOL

Wouldn't doing that kill some performance?

Try a straight through magnaflow muffler, and yes they make round/oval shaped mufflers, that are real nice, or an Apexi style muffler, or depending on how much $$$$ you want to spend, try Burns stainless or something. Or you can use a straight through resonator that won't restrict... LOL

if you don't wanna go cheap, get yourself a borla.. nice and quiet, even with no cat.. low rumbling goodness.. best exhaust note I've heard on a dsm.. and a 1,000,000 mile warranty.

Just get any straight through 3" resonator or muffler and have it welded in before your muffler. I got a stainless 3" resonator for $70 of ebay and it should only cost you $20 or so to have it welded in.

It will significantly quiet down your exhaust and wont hurt your performance.
